Hiroshima peace tour. Awesome video again and using a local tour guide to show the roots of historical and present day Hiroshima. We are from Hawaii and understand the war history. My great grandparents are from Japan. Family was put into internment camps. We realize the bad but really focus on the good to make life better for all. Mahalo Aloha

Hiroshima Peace Tour. Aloha Shizuka. This was a wonderful video of Hiroshima. I visited this area back in 2019 but sadly I didn't have much time to do some of the things that you did. But still it was very moving to spend time at the museum and understand the devastation and effects of war where no one truly wins in a war. Thank you for bringing a bit of Hiroshima to Oahu. Mahalo!

yaay!! another Monday morning upload at 08:00 just before work, and it's Hiroshima, lovely city and prefecture! This time, Shizuka-nee isn't only wearing a Cool Jacket, but TWO JACKETS IN ONE EPISODE (wait, or is it just one but different color grading? o__o) ! What a treat, hopefully the heat is not too unbearable wearing a jacket (or two) this time of the year. Keep up the good work and stay hydrated :D :D Lovely city and prefecture. I'm amazed on how good Hiroshima food is and the history that surrounds the area. The Hiroshima Okonomiyaki looks delicious and very different from the usual Osaka-style when I first saw it on KZbin a couple of years ago in campus and in Chris Broad's "Cycling Across Japan". It is still difficult to find it in where I live, the only ones I can find are all Osaka style. Just across the sea is the Shimanami Kaido route, perfect place to cycle that's still in my bucket list. Definitely going there one day :> :> Hiroshima Peace Tour rocks :> :>

When I visited Hiroshima, it happened to be the anniversary of the atomic bomb by chance. It seemed like the whole city walked to the river. We all made paper boats, and I wrote a personal message of love and peace on mine, then cast it into the river. I was with a great friend who is no longer in my life, so the memory is heartfelt. It was a lovely, synchronistic event that I’ll always cherish.

Such a great city to visit, and if you're there for more than 1 days (which i would deffinitly recommend as you never know if it will be raining) having a strole up Hijiyama is really nice with lots of weird "artifacts" to see, graves, minitemples, memorials etc. And closing to the top many lookout points for spectacular view of the city. Also, Hiroshima okonomiyaki is definitly the better one :)
