Japan has been pretty generous with the diamonds compared to other maps, however I will say the Sockeyes truly are a rarity to get any trophy of. Nearly 700 in with only a handful of golds. A true challenge!

I have 10 diamonds on this map, I was planning to go for the Sweetfish for my 11th, but if the crabs are easy, then I will definitely go for an easier diamond. So far I have caught 150 sweetfish, so they definitely aren't too common of a diamond like you said.

I can personally guarantee you the crab spot mentioned is the best found to date for numbers of crab. 🦀 good luck 🍀

Definitely not a super easy one, but that spot mentioned in the video, makes it fairly easy. I had caught around 200-250 sweetfish in other locations with not even a gold. The second I moved to the hotspot, I caught instant golds early afternoon, and after ab 30 fish I caught my diamond 👍

On that exact same spot as you shown for the Japanese Freshwater Crab I cought a diamond crab like the first day since the map went live, it was truly unexpected.. so far I find it rather difficult to catch species like the Japanese Dace.. Including the fact I didnt yet manage to hook even one Japanese Smelt but otherwise Im very pleased with the species, hoping to see more added later. As always, amazing guides that I will for sure make use of!

Yeah I think it matters, especially to find the best times to fish for a certain species, and to find new diamond spots.

@ProXCK I've been trying to find the right temp for carpsucker, but if you even move a cm left or right, the temp drops by 2 to 5 degrees. Do you have a recommendation on a time best to fish for them?

@ Afternoon. No point in chasing exact temps since the temp the fish shows is most likely the temp of the exact place where it spawned, and fish move around a lot. Just gotta find a time on which the ideal temps are possible, afternoon on this case.
