Crawling under that with nothing blocking it is a good way to get killed. Especially if it's leaking.

You couldn't pay me to crawl under a raised tiller. Engine on, leaking hydraulic fluid/hose, raised tiller... That's a big 'nah dawg' from me....

Why are you plowing with the blade straight? If you angle the blade you can push through it clear the path and keep moving.

wouldnt it be faster to use a snowblower around the house, and the plow blade to push piles further away, and not risk damage to the house, and a cleaner look. Honda makes a Tracked snowblower that is great for cutting down heavy snowbanks (had a HS28A - thing was a beast..)... we cut through 10ft snowbanks that the town left covering a crosswalk, took some effort, but worked very well even on gravel driveways, and grass.

Cabins not built correctly have to have the edges of the roof plowed so the snow on the roof has some place to go. Way to deep for a walk behind snow blower..

the Honda snowblower would be useful but would decrease the fun factor..😂
@andreh.dupuis8475

lifting the cabin 6’ or so would simplify snow management, if you look at Alpine or Swiss house design they have high pitched roofs and 2 or 3 stories, there is a reason behind that design 😊

@@hartstudebakerkid You haven't seen what a Honda can do! Even a 20 year-old one can throw water 90 ft. I'm not kidding. I had one, when we used to get snow in Ottawa, Canada. I was expecting someone to comment on the flag (Not USA) since so many confuse it with the RED Cross.
@samlovescars34
@samlovescars34 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure that would be useful in some ways, but overall, a snowcat seems to reign supreme. The sheer depth of the snow requires a cat, I'd say. Thank you for tuning in!!

You will only gwt hurt through complacency! The PB that ran him over,was left in forward drive,and the brake was not set! I have a very thorough understanding of these machines,been running them for over 20 years! But to be run over by the very machine you are operating is a sign that maybe some training is in order.I feel bad for the guy,but they are only as safe as you make them!

That why I really love our 1971 Bombardier ski dozer,can pull a 16x8 drag and groon 53 mikes rpund trip on half a tank,20 gallons! The PB pulls a 10x20 but uses 50 gallons of diesel for the same trail!

Why do you not have a blower? Does it not work in the mountains?
@samlovescars34
@samlovescars34 Жыл бұрын
Stu says that a snowcat-sized blower wouldn't fit through the narrow tunnel opening on this road, plus he doesn't get to chose the equipment they use.. Thanks a bunch for watching!!
@samlovescars34
@samlovescars34 Жыл бұрын
I actually thought this was the tractor video.. Overall a snowcat is needed to move this sheer depth of snow around, it seems. I'm sure a blower could be helpful at times, too.

I think some smaller models do exist, but I don't know much. This one is pretty good for a slightly spacious property! Pricey machines in any case, but necessary for major snow. Thank you for watching!!!

Can't understand how Renner F@cked himself up so bad with his? The tracks have so much surface area that they can't really crush you like a wheel would? Presume he got himself tucked under the blade or something? First rule of any machine is don't get out of it if it aint safe to do so, and if in doubt, turn it off.
