This is why I like Gordon. He ADMITS when he's shit at something and actually tries to learn from people who know more about something than he does. It's probably why he gets so pissed off with people who come into his kitchen thinking they know everything.
@elendilion9 жыл бұрын
Jay C That's what people don't realise about the guys at whom he screams. They're bad, and when he tries to show them, they simply don't care. They're like "Nah, you're just mad I can cook better than you", but he really is trying to help them. That's why I like Master Chef better than Hell's Kitchen.

@chateae8 жыл бұрын
+TheShockerKnocker How hot is 400C (about 750F)? LOL you obviously have no idea about cooking, so do your dam research. I'm not even gonna go on about the fact that this isnt filmed in US. 400F is wayyyy too cold to cook skewers. You'd be baking the meat instead of grilling it, it'll be overcooked well before it even char. When you use charcoal to grill meat, the temperature reaches well over 700F. As for nan bread, let's make a comparison with thin crust pizza. Do you know how hot a brick oven is? Some brick ovens used for thin crust pizza are over 1000F! In conclusion, a 400F oven would be ideal for relatively slow cooking method (like roasting a large piece of meat, or potatoes). But grilling? Enjoy your rubbery meat lol.

Sarcasm... learn about it.
@v3nom110658 жыл бұрын
+chateae Was about to have to do some corrections, but you handled it. He most certainly meant Celsius. 400 F wouldn't be hot enough to char anything in 1-10 minutes alone. It takes 15-20 minutes just for a frozen pizza to melt and get hot in a 400 F oven.

Everyone's making fun of Gordon because he has no idea what he's doing and is using new cooking techniques than what he's use to but I think it's great that as well known as he is he will still let people who aren't well known teach him new skills and he'll show himself having trouble getting the hang of something new.

That's just the American version of his shows. Everything over seas is way more calm and tame, and he only yelled at them if it was justified. Like, almost killing some one.
@realitycheck10868 жыл бұрын
No, they are making fun of him because he is the Donald Trump of cooking. The most impatient and arrogant chef out there. I wish the Indian chef went all out Ramsey and screamed his lungs out at Gordon for his failures, just so that he'd get a bit of his own medicine and maybe learn a thing or two about patience and humility.
@jasminekellie48157 жыл бұрын
+reality check he's too nice to be Donald Trump.
@MajorLawliet7 жыл бұрын
Patience and humility? The fuck are you talking about? Ramsey rarely if ever raises his voice to anyone he thinks he isn't justified in screaming to. The people he addresses in such a way tend to be people that SHOULD KNOW What they are doing. Actually see his Kitchen Nightmare episodes, there are times he can't say anything to the cooks who aren't bad, but have no say on the plates that are the problem. There's even that one episode where he's regarding a server very amicably since no fault rests on her, and since she's even servile enough to give him honest thoughts on the plates. Fuck, just search how many times he acts his ''usual'' angery self around the kids in his other show, or how many times he doesn't congratulate a dish he honestly thinks is well done. If you are gonna judge someone, get a damned clue before spewing uninformed blabber. Undercooked meat or even raw chicken in a renowed kitchen, horrible preservation and sanitary precautions in a restaurant? Yes, these people don't deserve one bit of whatever Ramsey shoots their way, but he should get chewed out for intentionally trying his hand at something he knows, and the chef knows, he's got zero experience and knowledge at.

gottfer No because he genuinely wants to learn more about cooking, constantly trying to improve himself. All the dramatic hell's kitchen stuff is just to feed the usa with more scripted drama.
@IlDeimos9 жыл бұрын
Because he is, at this kind of cooking anyway. Just because your a 3 Star or even 5 star chef, doesnt mean you know EVERYTHING there is to know about cooking, and it doesnt mean you know how to cook every little thing in the world. However, Gordon is a 3 Star Chef and he is still trying to learn new things, by going all around the world. Have you seen the video on his channel of him diving in ICE Water, trying to catch fish? The water is really freezing with ice on the top of the water. He even says if he stays down to long he can get Hypothermia. Now is that scripted??
@crivello199 жыл бұрын
gottfer A lot of the stuff is scripted to make his shows more dramatic, but have you actually eaten at one of his restaurants? I don't know how you can call him overrated when he has a three michelin star restaurant. He IS one of the most respected chefs in the world. Just because he is mainstream does not make him overrated.

I think it's like any field. You should be constantly improving. If you stick to the same thing over and over then your not a real chef/dancer/etc. Point is- this shows the real work being done in the kitchen that Gordon's usual audience probably take for granted.
