The eye contact she made with you during all of this was worth the price of that box many times over. I'm definitely going to keep this in mind as a special ed. teacher. Great company! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Hi Maass family, I've recently discovered your channel and started watching all your videos right from when you started posting them on here. That subscription box of activities is great and looks like so much fun. I would love to play with that, I'm not a child and don't have autism, so I think it would be great for pretty much anyone. Those water beads look amazing to play with, squish and bounce around all over the place!! Abi looks like she's having a brilliant time and is genuinely engaged in what she's doing. Great find!!

The painting is something all kids would like. I have an autistic child in Sunday school since he is 3 he would just put those water beads in his mouth. The oldest is 5 and in kindergarten but he still puts stuff in his mouth I just don't trust them with those beads.

Meronda, the #1 question our Co-Founder rec'd from parents while doing home therapy for 17 years was "what more can I do at home"? This activity box was designed to help parents do more at home without any added stress. We hope you'll give it a shot!

That looks like so much fun, thanks for sharing! I looked at their website. $80.00 is a little pricey though... I always feel like I don't know how to play with our child, makes me sad... As always, great vlog!

Kristen Herndon if you're child has special needs and is on a waiver program, my son is in the process of getting an ID/RD Waiver through SC Medicaid- this would qualify as "play", which they have funding to purchase these items to improve quality of life among other things! I'm just getting to a point where I'm getting some backing/funding/ positive forward momentum and understanding to support my sons special needs at home and school. The school is in for some serious work this year too! Good luck on your journey!!

+Kristen Herndon I know $80 is a lot of money but it's all relative. For what you are getting it's not. For how long each box will be used as a play activity and for what you can accomplish with it the price is reasonable. I get zero dollars from any sales so you can trust my word on it. Worth. Every. Penny.

Kristen, this is exactly why we created this box. :) To give parents ready-made and easy-to-use tools to help them be more successful in playing with their child and CONNECTING...all while having some fun together. Please note that the $80 price is for a one-time box for those who want to try out the box just once. If you subscribe, it's $75 / month, you can cancel at anytime and can choose between a monthly, every other month or every 3 month subscription plan. Both prices include taxes, shipping and handling.

Hi Vivian! Thanks so much for your interest. It is worth noting that pricing includes taxes, shipping and handling. These boxes can weigh up to 15 pounds so you really get a great deal when you calculate shipping for something that heavy!

Very cool. It did look a little overwhelming. About how many activities are in there?
@earlyvention1732
@earlyvention1732 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jason! Each full activity box includes 6 activities to promote play, hands-on learning and parent-child interaction. You receive all materials from our Sensory Exploration Box, plus everything needed to enjoy a social story, reward chart paired with a sensory fidget toy, interactive story, rhyme and craft. And like Priscilla mentioned, there are many ways to then do variations with the given activities. It will easily last you through the entire month.

do they have boxes for different age ranges? I have a 2 year old who I'd love to get this for. but don't know if this is better suited for older children. thank you for sharing!
@earlyvention1732
@earlyvention1732 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mergundy. Some of the items for the box are not advised for children under 3 years. However, if you will be working closely with your child and monitoring what is put in his/her mouth, you both can surely benefit from using the box together. Shoot us an email (info@earlyvention.com) should you have any further questions!

Would this be something my almost two year old would benefit from me trying with her she doesn't seem to understand much we have tried sign and homemade communication boards and such but really looking to amp up our approach.. Is this age appropriate for a two year old with low functioning autism in your opinion?
@fatheringautism
@fatheringautism 7 жыл бұрын
Hmm, great question. It's not something I could answer better than you can being her mom but I can give you our experience. We didn't follow the instructions specifically because there are some things Abbie does and does not understand let alone like and dislike. She HATES arts and crafts for example but she knows that completing a schedule board means reward (whether that be an edible r-enforcer or simply finishing the task and moving on) she did enjoy the painting part though. She doesn't have very good fine motor skills but she learned a new skill scooping and pouring water beads into the accordion tube in the kit. Finding the eyeballs in the water beads wasn't in the instructions either but she loved that one. I think with a little modification this box can suit almost any level really. The cool thing is it could grow with her. Maybe introduce the communication books later on as a way for her to choose what she wanted to do.

He probably would pur those beads in his mouth. I teach the toddler/preschool class kindergarten and under one has medium functioning autism but even the kindergartener I couldn't trust with those beads they would try to eat them.
