I remember playing jane a lot after unlocking her when I started playing last year but then stopped because I didnt see the use in upgrading her rather than a more streamline brawler . I upgraded her for ranked barrier and then to get her hypercharge for gems since they are the best value and had to choose her in ranked when we got outdrafted , needless to say I wiped easily and realised janet was actually always pretty good but I just didnt play her for more traditional brawlers

Btw, as a janet main, I use the bush sp and jump gadget. With the bush sp, there is almost no need for vision gear, you can trace people better when they hide a big patch of bushes, and I duno but I rly didnt find much of a difference when using the attack charge sp cuz you will hit the guy anyway most of the time. As for the gadget, with the bush sp, I rly dont need it and the jump gadget can be used to dodge and run or it can be used to assassinate. Those abilities just seem more versatile imo

@@axeolotl7269 ye def! go with whatever floats ur boat :) The type of player that I am in brawl stars is usually versatility with movement and sustainability. for example, i just maxed out cord and went the jump gadget and mushroom sp and the health and shield gear so I can outlast people a lot. Imo, cord feels like a brawler that take enemies out of the game at certain moments to change the course of the game and to do so, sustainability seemed like the right course of action.

@@axeolotl7269 Brawl stars does have its bad abilities for some brawlers. But with many, they have their own unique uses. It may come as a shock but I use the heal gadget for buster since I play him more as a support than assassin.

Also a Janet main here, the bush sp (SP1) can be used and I also use it on Snake Prairie, but as long as the enemy team has some range or you need to actively scout bushes on a lane SP2 + vision gear is far more consistent. SP1 is in most cases a retake tool where you can retake a good zone of bushes controlled by enemy team, not a great scouting tool. For the jump gadget (G2), it’s situational. You wanna use G2 mostly against throwers that can kill you G1 turret instantly but it can also be useful against some specific assassin matchups like Buzz or on certain specific maps where you need to jump over walls/water. Most of the time and on most maps where Janet is used, G1 is still way better and more consistent. As for gears, Janet can make good use of pretty much every gear, most of the time the thought process would be something like that: Heavy bushy map: Speed + Vision Long range map: Health + Shield Enemy team has assassin(s): Shield + Damage Good for Hot Zone most of the time: Damage + Health For non Janet mains that only wanna buy 2 gears: buy Speed + Vision, you’ll mostly use Janet on bushy maps anyway I wouldn’t recommend Janet in Heist but her Hypercharge Super does some decent damages to the Safe still.

Janet main here: the bomb drops where you go, so for example, if you’re standing still, it’ll drop right below you. If you move forward while the bomb drops, the bomb will move forward while dropping, same thing if you move left, right, and down.
