I have seen so many deconstructing people on TikTok and the thing that saddens me the most are the people who walk away completely because of what the church did or because they didn't agree with something. I just wonder how one can leave Jesus who loves us so much?
@lindtothesayyy3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I’ve been talking to people on FB the last couple days who said they’ve experienced church trauma and have clearly stepped away from their faith; some even not really showing signs of ever believing. It’s a struggle to communicate with them because I hate confrontation but Jesus experienced it and if I can help lead them back to Him, then I will. It is very saddening though how humans who are to represent our Lord have lead people to leave the faith. If people really know Jesus and the Bible they wouldn’t put so much faith in the people standing the pulpit - they would understand that humans are innately evil and not all represent our God.
@skyttyl3 жыл бұрын
They look for camaraderie instead of a relationship with God. It's normal for a spiritual babe to do this, because they don't know any better. We, as the church, should be emphasizing that the most important part of this religion is we love the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Secondly, we love our neighbor as ourselves. Therefore, if we run into a hypocrite or a wolf in sheep's clothing, we shouldn't become offended and walk away from God, but rather realize God said these people would be there, and the priority isn't to have fellowship with those people, but rather to have that relationship with God. Therefore, those hypocrites have what they want, and we have Christ.
@mramirez52393 жыл бұрын
That's just it. They are convinced they are walking away from what they perceive is unloving in the Bible bc of a lot of possibilities...they never knew the heart of God, they let their living relationship with Jesus die off, they experienced spiritual abuse which is a huge problem in the church especially in the area of domestic violence in marriage, they were raised in fundamentalist chains, or many other pains given when help was needed. Christians have a HUGE responsibility to represent Christ CORRECTLY or we are risking creating contributions to the deconstructors that never reconstruct in line with Truth.
@mramirez52393 жыл бұрын
Those hypocrites and wolves in sheeps clothing got called out by an angry Jesus more than a couple of times. They need to be exposed, prosecuted, and whatever else to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE so we aren't just excusing a known assailant in the CHURCH! We wouldn't want someone hurting a loved one in the physical world to be let off with "well we know they're out there so..." and do nothing when they have done harm, and we shouldn't tolerate it in the spiritual.
@skorp2652 жыл бұрын
They judge God based upon man's actions. They do not know God, for if they did, they would know love, because He IS love. Deconstructionists are another movement AGAINST God and His holiness.

I would say we can "deconstruct" traditions or even non-essentials, but we must stay firm on the essentials of God, Jesus, the Bible, and the gospel. If the act of "deconstructing" effects any of those, then we have moved away from Christianity. Plus, "deconstructing" would only be healthy if it is used for the purpose of reconstruction. I started "deconstructing" (more like reconstructing) a couple months ago. For me, I'm only interested in reconstructing my faith based on the bible and weeding out things that I've picked up from certain movements that aren't completely biblical. Bethel, word of faith, prosperity gospel, etc. I am a charismatic christian and I have noticed how extra-biblical that some churches have gotten. I don't believe that God is in a box by any means but I think we all need to step back and look at our foundations and ask is there anything that needs to be changed? Is there anything I believe that is out of biblical context? I think it's healthy, even though it's been one of the scariest things I've done since becoming a believer.

It is so biblical to research the scriptures and compare them to the teachings we hear. The pastor at the church I grew up in would say “don’t take my word for it, look it up yourself”. “The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” Acts 17:10-11 ESV

The answer to the question "when is it ok to deconstruct your faith?" is its never ok. Jesus didn't deconstruct his because the Pharisees got hurt feelings or when he told the Rich Young Ruler what he had to do to be saved. Jesus hit them between the eyes with the truth and was unapologetic in it
@mramirez52393 жыл бұрын
Jesus didn't need to deconstruct. He fulfilled the old and brought the new to meet. WE are living in a time where Christianity has been a weapon and people want to get away from that. Christians who already have a strong faith need to be coming alongside those deconstructing, as much as we are welcome, to offer loving guidance back to truth and AGREE with what needs to be let go of, like legalism, like pastors telling abused wives that they are doing something to cause their husband's behavior, like the inability of certain Bible readers to get how important justice is to God and how we need to TREAT AND TALK like we believe we are ALL equal before God and pushback against the systems that have been set up to say otherwise, and so much else that has been perpetrated from the pulpit for far too long.

This was a very well stated presentation. I think you did a great job breaking down "deconstruction". Within the last year to 2 years, I've found my beliefs to grow in leaps and bounds to a closer understanding of the reliability and truth of God's Word. More recently, within the last few months, my wife has been following suit on her own path. Although I've always been more on the conservative side of faith, my wife leaned more charismatic. She also tends to be pretty stubbo...I mean, independent about her faith so no matter what false teachings I'd see her adhering to, she sometimes wouldn't take it well if I tried to metaphorically hit her over the head with the BIble, part was because of my attitude, and partly because I didn't how to articulate what she seemed to believe to be false using proper exegesis. She says that the fact that I would only sort of raise a red flag and not flat out tell her she was wrong is what helped her come to see truth "on her own"(not in any way saying this is how things should be done for everyone, just saying what worked for her). All this to say, those of us who "deconstruct" toward the truth of God's Word don't call it "deconstruction". If anything, my wife and I would call this something along the lines of having our eyes fully opened or "a revelation" if you will.... Which is why I think your initial tiktok deconstruction reaction vid was accurate. Those that go through what they refer to "deconstruction" whether it be modifying their beliefs or leaving the faith altogether are, in fact, deconstructing from Orthodoxy and real Christianity/Salvific faith.

You can't just dismiss the encouragement of skepticism by saying that it's more beautiful to be certain. As Voltaire said, "doubt may be an unpleasant condition, but certainty is an absurd one." If questioning the validity of the Bible usually leads to atheism, perhaps that's because there is no reason aside from pure faith (and a desire for certainty) to believe in it.

Depends upon what church. There are so many denominations. Still one truth, once faith, one baptism. What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand. God created us according to His own image and likeness. Godly. Mankind/the first Adam fell. The image of God in man got lost. That's why there is all this predicament on earth (selfishness, greed, lust, wars, sicknesses, death, etc). We are all born into that mess. For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ. With His own once and for all perefect sacrifice, He paid the debt for the fall of man for us, so we can be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. An amazing act of grace and love by our creator. That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all and walked in unselfish love. And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding, power and transform us back to origin. Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come. So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand. Hence the divine healing miracles we experience. God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after in Gen 1. The image we lost in the fall of man. The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us. What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing. It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle. He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love. Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh. For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth. He said: "Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc. I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name". Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!! So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit. You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator. You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace. A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam. Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever. Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote: "As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again". "IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)" "The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power". So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing! In the shadow of Peter the sick healed... He understood too and wrote: "By Gods power (Holy Spirit) and knowing Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature and have escaped the fall of man". The divine life of the ages has been returned to us by Jesus once and for all perfect atoning sacrifice for the debt of the fall of man and His indwelling Holy Spirit in us. Jesus/God is amazing!!! Ask Him to give you revelation and change you to the way it was before the fall of man: Christlikeness. He will do so. For it is written: "the Spirit brings forth after His own kind". "I have come to give you Zoë (divine life) in abundance...."

People need to learn the difference between being uncertain in FAITH and being uncertain in apathy. The Bible is God's Word and I believe that but I also accept that the very nature of the Bible means that I will always have uncertainty because it's a living document, the Holy Spirit leads me to whatever I need to learn at that point in my life. Furthermore, I also accept that the Bible isn't the ONLY source of truth, just the supreme one. By that, I mean that the Bible is the standard by which we must measure every other possibility: if it agrees with the Bible, it's true. If it neither agrees nor disagrees, it might be true but should be approached very cautiously. If it disagrees with the Bible, it's false, full stop. Having that perspective has brought me a lot more peace in regards to the tougher topics of our faith, as well as ones that aren't necessarily tough but also aren't addressed in the Bible (such as the topic of potential intelligent lifeforms elsewhere in the universe, which I now believe is possible). At the end of the day, the things that I'm not sure of, I know that I'm not MEANT to be sure of them yet. I have faith that the Holy Spirit will lead me to the places and the truths that I need to learn, all in due time, and that there are some things we simply will not know until we cross into eternity. I don't claim to have the best way to handle these situations but I certainly do know that viewing things through that sort of lens has helped me find peace in my questions. It doesn't make it easier when the really tough stuff comes along but it does help me realize, deep in my soul, that any doubts and questions I'm working through will one day be answered and for now, the best thing I can do is just keep pressing onward and doing my best to trust wholly in Christ.

Actually when it comes to healing the truth is that once we become born again we are healed, physically, mentally, and spiritually. However except for when it comes to being spiritually healed, in order for your healing to manifest you have to renew your mind to the truth of God. Jesus was beaten, marred beyond recognition, in order for us to be healed. He died for our salvation and in that salvation is our healing. The main thing when it comes to healing that Christians don't understand is that we don't have to get healed, we are already healed, we just have to get to the point where we can make our healing manifest and that takes the renewing of our minds.

There’s a difference between creating an idol and re-examining (if you don’t like the word deconstruction) what you believe so you know with 100% certainty. I do not think it’s making an idol. It’s making sure you are 100% sure in your faith. Yes it may lead to one leaving the faith. But at least they know why they have done that! It’s not right to tell someone that if they don’t believe the same way you do, that they themselves are an idol-much less a(n) hypocrite!!! Where has this thought come from?!? I am genuinely curious. I thought the church was a place where we could ask questions? But what I’m seeing is that I can NOT ask ANYTHING!!! I have to accept what you (the Church, or any leader in the Church) think is “true” and not think for myself!!! People have legitimate reasons to question their faith! Not everyone has a life that’s filled with sunshine and rainbows. Not everyone chooses to leave their rose tinted goggles on. I am deconstructing my faith because I want the TRUTH without the confines of typical Christianity and their rose tinted goggles they all wear!!!! I’m tired of hearing surface level answers, much less answers that makes no sense. And I’m not even going to talk about hypocrisy here as much as I could say about this. So I ask you to understand that some people are serious about this and actually want the TRUTH!!!! I’m going to stop before I say something that doesn’t make sense-if any of what I’ve said makes sense.

I think it's important to note that whenever we come to the Faith, we usually don't believe in the entirety of what Christians Historically have held to. God can change our hearts to believe correctly; however, despite the Holy Spirit's indwelling, we can still be deceived by ideas and philosophy. That deception, if it in fact is deception, doesn't mean ruin, foolishness, or sin even. It also doesn't mean reprobation or a hardened heart: It means unbelief. In unbelief, we are given the option to petition: "Lord, help my unbelief". A Faith in flux - or renovation - doesn't mean complete abandonment. The type of Evangelicalism that's being referred to is widely dismissive of the entirety of Christianity: whether it be the mainlines or the fringes. One-third of the population of the world is Christian, and none of these groups completely agree, and many of them diverge at the roots that we as Evangelicals are constantly calling back on--as if we're the only group that has any time to read the Church Fathers. Many different ideas have existed throughout this Church-age. The faith has grown and changed many times, and I think that we're deceiving ourselves if we think that it won't change again. It could become more perfect or less perfect. It's important to remember that God is the one who has called us toward him, and there is no measure of unbelief that would separate Him from His harvest.

I don't understand why Christians myself included have to be shortchanged with man's opinions and world views. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us and He will lead us in all TRUTH. We don't need to be red letter believers, secular believers, and so on. What We need is to stay submitted to the power of the Holy spirit and we will understand who we truly are. At this point in life we need to ask ourselves; Who are we without the holy spirit? This is because it's always been about Christ from the beginning not us. We need to humble ourselves like little children so we can experience life in God's presence abundantly.

Wait that’s what that means to deconstruct your faith. I always just thought it was more like unpacking it you know like laying it all out to understand it better. Like how you can take apart a clock to understand how everything fits together, now there isn’t an issue with that as long as you put everything back together correctly.
@David-bx7cj3 жыл бұрын
If you take apart a clock ,it loses its quality and taste God's words is like a new clock ,if His words is uttered it loses its meaning and it can be corrupted For the devil is like a copy cat ready to take a part a clock to produce his own and become better than the greatest The devil has always used the words of God to tempt man and even Jesus Christ (God in flesh) Through the means of disconstrution /uttering of the truth
@David-bx7cj3 жыл бұрын
If the truth is uttered it is no longer the truth For the opposite of truth is lie For they is no more truth than the truth itself

@@DailyDisciple Yeah man I used to also perform live Gospel poetry so he was a big influence among Lecrae, Trip Lee, etc. It honestly just shows that he valued the career path done his way a bit more and his doubts led him to a spiral. As Christians we are justified by faith, not doubts. And we are also sanctified by faith not doubt. But God gives us the gift of faith because we cannot have it on our own. We dont need all the answers, all we need to know is the main elements of the Gospel. Creation is proof of Himself as Creator. Man is sinful. Jesus died for us. He rose. Thus we must respond in living for Him, with Him in His Spirit, etc. One day I hope to start a Gospel-centered/career/music YT channel but still need to advance more in my career to gain better audience.

What would you say to someone who says god is evil? How would you convince them he isn’t
@letstalkbiblewithshun.s3 жыл бұрын
You cannot convince them. Pray that their eyes would be opened by the Holy Spirit as the scripture says the god this world(satan) has blinded the unbeliever. But here's some suggestions 1) you can explain the world was originally sin free 2) humans have free will 3) the earth was cursed cos of sin 4) eternity in heaven is sin free therefore we will see how life could have been without sin 5) with good (God) there is evil (Satan)

Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
