I’ve honestly been loving this J-10, it’s honestly so good and such a blast to play, yesterday I got an 8 kill game/clutch in it. (And the PL-5EII are sometimes cracked in head-on’s just straight up ignores flares, I fully agree with the downsides, wished it had more flares.)

8:30 F16C Barak 2 supremacy. MICA Jr, hilariously good at close range off bore shots, and AMRAAMs *_at the same time_* , with 240 countermeasures, and when they give it the right FM, it’ll have very comparable dogfight performance to the Block 50, just a slightly lower top speed because of the like 500 kgf less thrust.

@@GeneralLee2000 nothing so far, but it’s only been up a day or two. Got a few different sources, just showing Block 50 weight compared to Block 40 (Idk if they’re any good, but common sense suggests that the C should not weigh as much as the D, and they’re the same weight on every source I’ve seen), so shouldn’t be hard to pass when they look at it, but if you’re asking to see about making your own (it’d be helpful since you’re a CC and all, more influence than me lol, course that didn’t change anything abt the Baz’s radar 🤦🏼‍♂️), go ahead, the more awareness brought to it the better. Also if I don’t answer for several hours, I’m asleep

The su27sm can now carry 12 missiles whereas the J11A is still stuck with 10. Gaijin creating even more downsides to the J11A is hilarious and depressing as a China main. At least this update helped us out a ton.

I'm glad the Chinese TT is getting more vehicles and entering the meta. Though I am disappointed with some of the features/lack there of that gaijin has given the J-10. Allegedly the PL-5EII IRCCM seeker is exactly the same as the TY-90. The TY-90 being a product of AVIC and the PL-5EII being a product of AVIC's subsidiary. It makes sense they share technology. Everyone hates the TY-90 on account of it being nigh un-flareable in a rear aspect lock due to its gate-with irccm going to 1.25 degree FOV, so I can understand why gaijin hasn't added it to the missile yet. Another thing is the amount of precision weaponry. According to some people on the "Snail mine" Leaks server, The J-10A could carry 250Kg GBUs on almost every pylon that could mount the 250Kg dumb bombs barring the last pylon on each wing. Certain fuselage hardpoints even being capable of carrying the GB-1000kg bomb found on the JH-7A. Speaking of the JH-7A, that plane whilst amazing, Is similarly a let down in weapons capabilities. The JH-7A has been photographed carrying 4x KH-29T. The JH-7A can allegedly use the PL-12 ARH missile. I have a photo of it mounted where the PL-8 can be mounted currently in war thunder. There is also the lack of PL-8B on the JH-7A which you mentioned the J-10A also lacking. I do hope that if they add the PL-8B, that both aircraft receive it. Many people don't want the JH-7A to receive these weapons as it will certainly give it an increase in BR. But I am one who believes aircraft in war thunder deserve their full complement of weapons, so long they could actually carry them. The Q-5s can supplement the BR gap between them and the JH-7a, gaijin just has to give the Q-5 models their appropriate weaponry. Which they refuse to do so that the A-5C remains relevant to buyers. The Q-5D would be a useful plane to see in-between the A and the L. speaking of both planes, I hope that one day they receive their PL-2s and PL-5Bs respectively. Another possibility is that seeing as gaijin didn't add the premium JH-7. There is still a chance it may be added to the tech tree. Another thing I wanted to address is countermeasures. The Chinese never really developed any BOL pods like the Swedish or any pure countermeasure pods. The Chinese instead chose to put money towards the development of ECM pods (electronic countermeasures). These are not in game so I have no problem with their current absence. If anyone has anything they want to add or their own 2 cents, you're welcome to comment. Lee, glad to hear you're enjoying the J-10 as much as I have.

Bro... you're not gonna believe this... but as you said... TY-90's FOV going down to 1.25 is kinda bad bro R-73 goes down to 0.75 FOV and Magic 2 has copy paste IRCCM from R-73 it's apparently a lot better irl but ingame they copy pasted it Pretty sure the TY-90's have both shrinking of FOV and tracking suspension like Aim-9M or Stinger has

"within 5 degrees of the notch" 5 Degrees is actually within the notch limit for all current missiles, meaning it can genuinely notch while maintaining a lock.

BUT pl5eII is great missile and when I flying this plane i need to take at least 2 of those because they are amazing for my playstyle. It is bassicly pl5b on steroids, when you launch it from 1.5 to 2km it becomes sillent because of fast engine burnout and enemies wont be able to see it if the wont see it coming of the rail. I love that missiles tbh

J-10 is a great addition. I dislike the gameplay loop of toptier however. It's just not fun anymore.

The J11A doesn't even get to hold more R77's like the SM does ;_; The F16mlu was alot better to fly imo but no ARHs. J8F had ARH's but shit FM and only 2. J10 finally brought some balance back. PLEASE WHY MENTION THE STOCK MISSILE ARE BETTER. GAIJIN MONKEY PAW NOO

At this moment I just look at the patch notes and think to myself, cool all these awesome planes are coming out and we'll get the F18, Eurofighter, rafale next! But in retrospect until the meta changes or the multipathing is bumped up to 80-90 meters I wont touch top tier anymore besides the occasional Netz game to have fun with IR missiles (even though it's overtiered). They also screwed up by releasing the overpowered, undertiered and oversaturated F14A Iran and now every game in what was previously a bearable tier 11.3-12.7 is now just fakour 90 deaths on the bottom right of my screen with no actual fighting.

I don’t understand the desire to go back to multipathing every single radar missile. You STILL CAN multipath the missiles with relative ease.

@@PvtPartzz not really and it very much depends on the map. Its just that ARHMs are so dominant that it doesn't even leave room to actually dogfight because everyone is tunnel visioned on long-medium range missiles not to mention there are dozens of them flying around and the games are so short as a result. The whole reason why it needs to be buffed is so that people can have way more options when it comes to fighting top tier in ARB instead of clicking and forgetting 4-8 times for 32 people. You don't want to actively be worrying about ARH missiles while just launching your own and forgetting, there is no point to top tier if that's the case. Atleast in the previous meta It was way slower for the fact that you had to focus on 1 person at a time for SARH and it actually took skill to counter the other option IR missiles with good flaring. The new meta is just braindead

@@rickdubbink nope the first batch of the eurofighter is pretty close and there is a reason they got in service at the same time 2006. btw they are close in optic too because j10 is a wish eurofighter, chinese like copying and the j10 won over the eurofighter 9-0 in a exercise

in the current meta I even think the 29SMT is okay (not good, just okay) just because it's 13.3 and because its bad dogfighting performance is offset by the avionics and HMD R-77s. this doesn't happen anymore since they buffed the Fakour-90, but back when the Iranian F-14A became available, it was wonderful just getting constant downtiers and clubbing them with R-77s.

@@_ace_defective_it doesn’t happen anymore because the noobs either gave up on their new plane or got good. It wasn’t because of a buff, you were just seal clubbing before. Skill issue.

@@mgilb86 that is quite literally what I said, although frankly you would have to be ignorant to not recognize how significant the buff was to the effectiveness of the vehicle. Please try to read properly before you blindly shout skill issue at everything :)
