this was pretty helpful, I really hate stuff that makes me feel bad for not playing regularly so the fact you said it'll be fun to play even if you dont play much really made me interested in it. I played a lot of animal crossing but I struggle to go back to it for a few reasons one of which is the villagers make me feel bad for spending so much time away. I don't mind the whole real time mechanic thing so much though I am not fond of it either, its good to know not to mess with the time. I hope more people who are thinking about getting this game see this video.

Not only was the crown made for a person they also wrote specific dialogue for the characters saying how hard you worked to make it. They literally didn’t need to do that. They care so much as a player I see that.

Whenever there's a physical edition of a game, I'd rather get that nowadays because I want to support that. I do want to get this game, BUT with the Switch 2 coming out this year, it might have to wait because I'd rather save up for that first. 1. Physical comes out in a few months, like around March iirc? Sometime in Spring. 2. Yes, this game will be playable on Switch 2. My guess is that the number of games that aren't backwards compatible are going to be in the single digits, and mostly relate to peripherals/modes/etc that you physically can't use with the Switch 2 (eg Labo),. For 99.99% of games that isn't something you at all need to worry about. 3. You might as well just get it when you like, Switch 2 probably isn't coming out until around the very end of Summer or early Fall at the earliest, so buying this game won't really set you back. It'll probably be hard to find at launch anyways.

I have pre-ordered the deluxe version on switch. I wanted to be able to play hand held at times or on a bigger screen when I have more time. Decided on the deluxe, so I can be more relaxed in how much I play the game. This video was super helpful and clear. Looking forward to your beginners guide videos. I honestly can't wait for Thursday!!!!! Like everyone else, i am busting with excitement to play. Loved animal crossing (it's my most played game ever), so this is perfect for me. I have never played as I don't have apple. Really happy this is coming out on other platforms ❤

My main concern was whether I would be able to get everything from the Deluxe packs if I just played the regular version and now I feel so reassured knowing that I can! Although I still can't decide which one I'd like to get... I'm okay with grinding (huge Animal Crossing/Pokémon fan here hehe) but I've always preferred having a physical copy of my games if available. I play on both Steam and Switch, love both platforms. I have the Steam Deck and Switch itself. Since Switch 2 is coming up, I may get Deluxe on the Switch 2. I’m thinking what makes Steam worth it is the potential to get the discounted game later on, some boost in power, and not needing to pay for WiFi. But I know the Switch is very popular, so there may be more people playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure on the Switch. I may end up getting the Deluxe version along with Switch 2.

I might have heard of t when it came out on apple arcade but as i dont own any apple devices i might have grieved about not being able to play the game and then forgot about it lol. Im heavily considering buying the game on steam it looks so cozy and cute and it SANRIO THEMED!! It reminds me of the game Hello Kitty roller rescue that i used to play so much when i was little (i cant find a cracked version so i can only play it in my memory lol) it was such a banger and was the game that made me LOVE Hello Kitty! Fantastic video! I'm glad I found it to help clear up some questions but I did have a couple extras, if anyone knows.... 1. Does having all of those islands unlocked from the start feel like it's taking away from the experience at all? Like, are they skipping a bunch of story in order to do that? And 2. If the seasonal items come back every year, does that mean there's significantly less to do if you've already gotten everything from the bundle? I hope that all makes sense 😅

1. So all 8 regions will be available even with standard. I think the wording was a little strange in the description. Since I am pretty sure you will still have to explore and do quests to find all of the biomes. I think they said this because at the moment in apple arcade, we have 2 islands (The first one with the 8 biomes) and a second one that the Switch/Steam won't have YET. (Since they will be running a few updates behind for now). Does that make sense? 2. The cool thing about this being a live-service game, they change each event every year, so there are always new items! Getting the deluxe just takes any stress off of getting the old items, so you can focus on getting the new items. The way events are, it's usually like a rewards calendar, or it's like "collect this event-specific item and purchase event items from the event stand." And old items (atm) are usually just in the stores, and maybe only 1 or 2 a day.

I’m getting it physically, so I don’t really have a choice in version, I’m getting the Deluxe Edition. I’ll just have to wait until March to play it. I pre-ordered the deluxe version. It preloaded today, Sunday the 26th. Pretty excited about this game. I actively play Disney Dreamlight Valley. I am a hardcore Animal Crossing fan. However, I have nothing left to do in that game. I've collected everything, so the game has become boring for me. This game looks like an excellent superpowered Animal Crossing like game. if the deluxe and standard version are two separate games and its not possible to upgrade from standard to deluxe, why does steam list deluxe as a DLC for standard? DLCs on steam require the base game to purchase so you cant buy it standalone on steam. maybe just for switch you cant upgrade but steam you can?

One of the developers on the Discord said this: "Hi all! I know there’s confusion with the Deluxe version in context to if you need the base game or not as well as if you can upgrade later I’m going to check on these things, so please hold tight. In the meantime, you do not need the standard version for the deluxe. you can purchase one or the other." We still haven't heard anything back about this- but you do NOT need the "base" game, you can just get the Deluxe! 💖

I think the main reason I want to get this game is because of what you said in regards to other Sanrio games being kinda mediocre; They always seemed pretty barebones and cash grabby. I've always liked the Sanrio brand but I've never connected with the characters because I'm not much of a merch collector, so learning about HKIA was a breath of fresh air. This vid was super helpful and got me even more hyped, I can't wait!

I absolutely love the idea of this but with the Australian dollar being worth like nearly 3x what a USD dollar is this is wildly unaffordable for an Australian priced at $100 it's more than any other switch game on the market usually is too 😭😭😭😭

Regardless of which version you will have to do some quests to get to the rest of the biomes! But you can start easily on your first day getting to most of them!

@@paigegguy performance is pretty bad on my apply tv 4k and m4 MacBook. I think it was ok on a new iPad Pro. So really toss up on how it will be on Switch, depends on their effort. I’ll probably wait for reviews to determine switch vs pc.

what are your opinions on apple arcade users continuing to pay the monthly subscription for the game while the switch/PC users have more of a "one and done" kinda method? i'm debating if i want to get the deluxe switch game and just work towards getting to where i'm at now after nearly 1.5 years of playing. i'm sure my subscription has totaled upwards of $108 atp (which is far more than what the deluxe vrs. will be) & it'll keep growing if i stick with the apple arcade subscription ;_; i'm really tornnnnn

@moonlit.dreams I feel like keeping the Apple Arcade subscription makes the most sense only if you actively play other Apple Arcade titles, since, as you said, it adds up a lot if you look at it from the perspective of subscribing for one game

Hi Nikki! I started gaming for the first time last year and got my very first Switch in late 2024 as well. I love ACNH and I cannot WAIT to play HKIA (I haven't played it on the Apple Arcade as I want to try it out on the Switch first). I know for a fact I'm going to get the deluxe edition, but I really want to get the physical version yet I don't want to wait until March to play the game (lol). If I get the deluxe version digitally on Jan 30th, and then I get the deluxe version physically in March, do I need to restart the game when I play with the cartridge? And if I do need to restart it, do you recommend I start playing on the Arcade this week instead and just wait until March to get my Switch (physical) version? I hope that made sense lol

I actually don't know for sure. I would assume that yes- but I can ask the devs about this. I do know that if you start on apple arcade, you will have to restart in March. So honestly if you are set on the physical game, I (personally) wouldn't want to buy it twice!

One thing I was curious about (I played this game a bit on the arcade a while back) is what version will the pc/console will get on release in terms of QoL? Like I heard right now on the arcade you can use your phone to switch companion which was not implemented when I was still playing on the arcade a year ago, do you know if we will already get this QoL when it releases on the pc/switch?

I am not 100% sure. What we know is that it is probably a couple of updates behind! But they are probably planning to add everything eventually! We will only know once it releases to see what actually made it in so far or not!

If you open the game it may get messed up! We don't know the exact point yet- so maybe the menu could be fine, but when opening the save file itself could mess things up. But better safe than sorry and avoid opening HKIA when you time travel for ACNH!

Has it been confirmed if it will be like Animal Crossing on Switch where you can only have 1 island per device rather than 1 per account 🤔 Basically make one in my Nintendo profile, and then my kids make their own character and island on their profiles. We did for Ooblets so I was hoping it would be similar.
