I looked it up and the reason why Inkwell didn't make a return in NH is because he was one of the several villagers from the welcome amiibo update whose whole schtick was being a reference to another Nintendo IP. In Inkwell's case, he was a reference to Splatoons.

I started playing New Leaf again a few weeks back while recovering from surgery. Honestly the best game so far. Looking at it makes me sad about New Horizons, especially when it comes to villager interactions. NH's villagers just feel...empty. Not nearly as much variation in dialogue, and those of the same personality just feel like cookie cutter copies. :/

My Isabelle and Town Hall figure sit proudly in my home now. I was 13 in 2013 and had just been pulled out of school as I had been horribly bullied for many years there finally resulting in me being assaulted at school by a group of classmates with bats in the P.E changing rooms. It was an incredibly difficult time for me but after weeks of not leaving my house my mam suggested we take a walk around our local city centre. It was a school day so no worry about running into those who hurt me. We walked around and i remembered that today was the day the new Animal Crossing game released and I'd played hundreds of hours of Wild World. Well we went into GAME and saw it on the shelves. She bought the game for me as a way of cheering me up and we mentioned to the guy serving us that we didn't pre order the game but I'd been going through a hard time and I was so excited to just be holding it. He went into the back and came back with the figures and said they had a few spare and he could give us one. It's been over 10 years since then. I have my own home and those figures sit on a shelf in my living room. New Leaf changed my life and let me experience friendships during a time when i was incredibly lonely. Thank you for letting me get this out there. I love Animal Crossing.

Since Festivale is based on Brazilian Carnival the time frame makes a lot o sense since in Brazil Carnival happens too 40 before easter, a period of what is Called quaresma that starts at the ashes wensday, christian traditon where you not supposed to eat meat, besides fish, and don't have parties, if I remember correctly. OK, so, Dodos are not a mythological creature, they are an animal that existed in real life, but has long long ago gone extinct. So, it still does not make sense why they exist in Animal Crossing, since they went extinct, but they are not a mythological creature. Just a flightless bird that no longer exists on Earth. btw, Desert Island Escape comes from the most hated Animal Crossing spinoff game: Amiibo Festival. The Welcome Amiibo update ported that game mode to be playable in New Leaf. And, if you don't care playing multiplayer in that game, the New Leaf version is far superior than the original. The New Leaf version has compatibility with the Animal Crossing Amiibo card series, while the Amiibo Festival version only let you use Amiibo figures designed for that game. And if you don't have Animal Crossing Amiibo cards, for the price of a couple 3DS Play Coins, you can take any regular villager in your New Leaf town, and put them in the minigame. Animal Crossing Puzzle League btw, like Pokemon Puzzle League/Puzzle Challenge, is a different franchise version of the Japan exclusive puzzle game Panel de Pon. Panel de Pon is where the Smash Bros item "Lip's Stick" comes from, a flowery staff held by what can be considered the protag of that game, being the character "Lip". It's also the game where all the "Puzzle League" games come from, as I stated earlier. Animal Crossing Puzzle League though, is different than a mere reskin of Panel de Pon, as it has Animal Crossing Amiibo figure support to change your special attack in the minigame, when the default special attack is bad, as it basically does a line clear from Tetris, on the highest row that has any panels in it, if I remember right. Special attacks was not something in Panel de Pon. btw, if anyone wants to play Panel de Pon, it's on the Switch Online app of the console it was released on initially. I still say it's Japan exclusive despite being able to access it on America accounts, because there's been no effort put towards translating the game. It's still in Japanese

This is somewhat unrelated but my 3ds Xl (the snes skin if that changes anything) camera isn’t working, my sd got corrupted a while ago but i replaced it. My inner camera doesn’t work still, outer does. I can’t open “Camera” “AR games” but I can play face raiders (since it’s only inner camera). Does anyone know how to fix my outer camera? At this point I already got my photos off from whje I was younger but I just want to be able to use my camera again. The villigers will have so many different personalities and dialogue (and grumpy villigers would actually be grumpy again).. The game would still be progress focussed, yet decorating is an important aspect..

The guide is partially lying, what it says about Carnivale is based on what some NPCs say about the date being 40 days before Bunny Day. This is because Carnivale is based on Mardi Gras, the real world event that takes place about 50 days before Easter Sunday (including weekends). So, in practicality, Festivale is almost certain to take place during the week of Pancake Tuesday in the newer games due to the AC games sticking fairly tightly to real world holidays.

I want to ask, am I a bad or morally inferior person for liking how nice the villagers are in this game? Am I a bad person for liking the calm and cozy nature of Animal Crossing New Leaf? I've seen so many messages talking about people who like nice villagers like they are objectively bad for doing so and that they should feel like bad people for the villagers being nicer in the later games. A lot of people are talking about how they like New Leaf better than Horizons. And that's fair, I'm not gonna argue. Just thought I'd toss my opinion out there too. For me, I much prefer New Horizons over New Leaf. Sure, there's aspects about New Horizons I don't like. I hate tool durability, I'm not fond of how nice and friendly villagers are 24/7, and I still hate that there's no way to force the shops open 24/7. I also wish there was a way to take every shop that can spawn on Harv's, and move them onto your island as an actual placeable shop, woulda been nice to make a proper Main Street. BUT.... There's so much going for New Horizons for me. I liked New Leaf, don't get me wrong, but like every other Animal Crossing I've played before it, I ran out of things to DO. It didn't take very long for me to run out of things I really needed to get done. So I'd load up my game when I woke up, get my money rock, check the shops and beach, find the fossils and donate 'em, sell whatever I don't need that I've picked up, do whatever I need to do for that day (like buying clothes or talking to someone), then turn the game off until the next day. There just wasn't much to keep me IN the game after a bit. With New Horizons, there's more to do. Right off the bat, you have Nook Miles. Unlike the Meow Coupons in New Leaf, they infinitely generate and you can grind out miles if you want. Having Nook Miles also means more to buy and buying more often. Nook Miles also leads to the Mystery Islands and Kapp'n's boat rides, so that's more to do. Add in the outside decorating, which can add SO much more play time for someone that enjoys decorating and building like myself. Sure, building and decorating can get to a point where you run out of stuff to build and decorate, buuuut, it's still gonna last way longer than New Leaf's just house building. And then even more... Add on the Happy Home Paradise DLC and hoooo boy. Now you essentially have Pocket Camp mixed with a Creative Mode, and 30 houses to decorate however you want, with new tools and decorations to play with, all of which get unlocked for your main island use. And you get all the items and stuff that comes with the DLC too. Plus eventually being able to re-decorate your villager's homes. Like, the amount of just pure STUFF to keep the player from turning the game off, is ridiculous, and WAY more than the previous Animal Crossing games have. Do I think New Leaf, and even other AC games did some stuff better? Yeah, sure. Definitely. But I don't think those negatives knock New Horizons down a notch for me. It's still my favorite because of the sheer amount of stuff to do. I can keep playing it, I don't have to just stop because I ran out of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure eventually I'll get to a point where I'm low on things to do, and get bored, and I'll stop playing for a while like I did with New Leaf. But it's gonna take a lot longer for that point to come.

That's not the reason they couldn't fly, or why they went extinct! The island where they lived had no natural predators, so they grew bigger and lost the ability to fly over time. They went extinct because they were hunted by humans. They had no fear of humans because they never had any reason to run from predators :C. Such a shame, they are really interesting birds. im sure they did actually eat gravel, because most birds do to store in their crop to be able to help them eat food but that's not why they couldn't fly.
