Amazing video! I would love to see a Vienna game sometime in the three knights variation. I personally struggle the most when my opponent first plays Nc6 and then Nf6. Keep up the great work!

Thank you bro, hope you enjoy my other videos too! I'll definitely get that at some point and will have a video on it, stay tuned and it'll come up eventually :) I've got a Vienna playlist which probably features it at some point too!

Nice video, I think the one you should sort of prepare for in the 0-1600 ELO segment is the Jobava-London (one pretty good quick beginners course recently dropped on Chessable and Alex will release his stuff sometime this year and just started a new Speedrun so people will start playing it). I'm constantly fighting the urge to learn new openings but I'm happy with C-K + QGD for black and Bird for white (I like having an opening for white that I know better than the opponent even if it's a bit "exotic") and plan to simply dive deeper into them in 2025 with more "play from both sides" with a physical board kind of analysis. So my resolution is...do not learn any new opening. Get better at the ones you already play :D For reference, I went from 0 to 1000 15/10 rapid this year in about 200 games with quite limited time to learn/play. My target for the next year is 1600 (which feels ambitious to be honest).

Absolutely agree with playing exotic openings but I think it can be worth learning new openings if you struggle with your current ones. Like I used to play KID as black but had bad results so switched to the Slav

Correct me if I'm wrong, but @22:20 I think that white is still winning with dxe7 Qxd4 Bxf6+! Kxf6 (Qxf6 e8=N+) e8=Q.+-

uhmmm yeah i suppose but I feel like it's a bit complicated with the white king a little vulnerable no?

I just played an amazing caro kann game with a brilliant move and it was so satisfying, also with only 10 secs left!

Can you show a game were they take the pawn on C5?

Hey man, I will when somebody finally has the guts to do it XD

I don’t think he disconnected because he was about to lose the Pawn. I think he disconnected because he was just impatient with how much time you were using to explain your moves. Even in the longer time controls, I’ve had people rage chatting me when I take too long on a move.
@ChessCenturion15 күн бұрын
Huh I didn't think that was a thing XD Why don't they just play blitz then?
@marmadukesandwich15 күн бұрын
I've had that too - opponents messaging "move!" if I take longer than 20 seconds in a 15 minute game...

What would be your second best defense opening be? 👍 Great videos.
@ChessCenturion11 күн бұрын
Hi man, what do you mean by defense opening? And thank you I really appreciate the support :)
@Gregory4734211 күн бұрын
@ChessCenturion Okay, you said you like the Caro Kann as your favorite opening for defense. A friend of mine likes the Sicillian defence. I know that you adapt to what is played first, but does the Caro Kann always have to be played against the E 4 opening.
@ChessCenturion11 күн бұрын
Ohh I get you, I personally always play it but 1.e5 is also something I can play pretty well. I just don't like the Italian or ruy Lopez positions so I stick to 1.c6
@Gregory4734211 күн бұрын
@ChessCenturion I feel the same way because most of the people I play like the Sicilian or a variant. I don't see many people play the Caro Kann so it is like a bit harder to figure out what I'm going to do. 💯👍
@ChessCenturion11 күн бұрын
Well hopefully my Caro kann playlist on the channel can help you with figuring that kinda thing out :) drop a comment on any video if you ever have a question and I'll always respond :)
