From what I can gather this isn't running a kernel, it's all running in Chrome, using WebAssembly at some level in the stack. So this isn't an operating system, it's a very elaborate browser application that simulates a lot of the conventions we're used to from an OS. While technically impressive, I can't see a practical use for this, not when we're already so close to being able to seamlessly remote desktop into actual Linux machines using a browser as a thin client. I'm a software developer, I write stuff that runs in both the browser and on the metal, and I'd much rather code for the metal.

I guess you found native UI framework that works for you, I'm still searching for something that enables fast development with ergonomics. Maybe using Lazarus / Delphi with a browser remote desktop could be better than going web native?

There is a use. If you are in a closed environment, but you can have that thing running in your companies intranet. Not everybody needs to have terminal sessions, but for some special needs you can deploy that VM to run any app / program in a container. It depends how the infrastructure is setup in the company. But if it is e.g. very heterogene and clustered and you have only control over parts of all areas, we are talking about 100 000 people or stuff and every administration only looks at about 2000 computers, that might be a way to be secure, but also give the freedom.

theres also websites that are literally capable of creating a VM in web browser, letting you run old versions of windows, most common versions of linux like debian and even android, just search up "copy sh" or "virtual x86"

Website is amazing. I ran Nintendo 64 games on it. I like how you can put your own files in it and they stay there until you clean browsing history. No luck running windows programs. Some windows programs are able to run thru it but not all.

You should cover AnuraOS genuinely way more impressive, full integration, filesystem, networking, etc with linux.

AnuraOS was made by a group of over 40 developers; DaedalOS was made by one guy, has many of the same features you listed, & does it with a lot more style.

Ma non c'è il rischio che qualche dato rimanga nel server in cui è installato questo programma, oppure che venga inviato da qualche parte nel mondo?

He created a multiverse inside another. Like a brother from another mother.(BM) making his self a God, inside the world he created -- built upon, the shoulders of the God's 😂 Dios, quite fitting, to say the least. (ios 🍎and from thus Knowledge -- the Temple of Babel has thus built? daedalOS!)

It's not, it's this new YT system with multi audio and translation, the title is in pure English. I didn't turn this on, I guess it's by default now.

Any chance we would see a "compile" yourself that OS and run it on your own server? Would be interested in the WINE part. From what I understand, it could be possible to run localy unsigned and non trusted Windows x86 EXEcutes. E.g. you download a portable PAF from somewhere and drop it into the browser which runs the Boxedwine part. But not sure, how to setup the thing for e.g. intranet or on an own server. Is there a Web-Assembly pre-compiled version, that could be published via a normal webserver?
