How do you find time to maintain at least two huge lists(LoreRim and NGVO) and also play/promote other lists? You are a mad lad Biggie, love you.

LoreRim is a fork of NVGO if I remember correctly. So any visual changes made in NVGO can be easily applied to LoreRim, making it easy to maintain both lists. I recently added some of the simonrim suite to NVGO that I like but avoided any of simonmagus mods that make worldspace edits + added follower & horse overhaul mod to NVGO very easily and it runs stable without much work on my side at all. I would say it is very easy to modify NVGO, so I would imagine LoreRim was actually pretty easy to setup from NVGO. For this reason I would also guess it is easy to maintain both lists at once, since they are basically different versions of each other.

@@vanni_gomes I skipped a few simonrim mods mainly because I don't play survival mode and also wanted to avoid mods which add worldspace edits (which would conflict with the mod list). Only mods I included were aetherius, mundus, mysticism, thaumaturgy, adamant, hand to hand, blade and blunt, arena, scion, artificer, sorcerer, apothecary and gourmet + all relevant addons and patches. I then placed these above UI addons in a new Simonrim separator on the left pane, and placed the plugins in a new Simonrim separator above character visuals in the right pane. I also swapped out optional quick start for alternate start + an alternate start patch for landscape fixes for grass mods, and had these placed above visuals - late loaders for both panes. There are a few conflicts here and there, but they are mostly overwritten by the mod list because they are placed near the top and have proven not problematic at all for me. If you would rather be safe, you could unpack the bsas and remove the bsas for simonrim and flag the conflicts as hidden in the loose files. I don't think that is necessary though, has ran fine for me in a 10 hour playthrough no CTD or bugs using just bsas no loose files and no hidden flags. I also got NFF (nethers follower framework) with simplest horses and faster horses and placed these above alternate start for both panes. I am thinking about removing simplest horses though since nff has its own horse features and I wasn't aware of that previously.

Really like Apostasy for its modern but still vanilla vibe. Currently have LoreRim, Halls of Sovngarde, Apostasy and Thuldors installed and these four really feel like they give me absolutely everything I could want from Skyrim and I play different characters on all lists. Together with a painted world it really is a great time to be an Elder Scrolls fan.

How is Halls of Sovngarde? Nordic Souls is probably closest to Vanilla+ I can think of too. Now I just need a great LOTD list and I'm all set, lol.

@@nonameddog HoS feels a bit like a hardcore survival spin of LoreRim. It's a Requiem list and feels even harder than LoreRim imo. But the key elements are definitely the survival mechanics, having Frostfall, Campfire and stuff like that and even injuries you need to take care of with crafting of medicine and bandages. So it has a bit of a different focus and for me personally I also really love the look of it and especially its UI. It comes with community shaders by default but it has a lot of ENBs ready to activate in MO2. I personally love Dawnfire with this list.

The troll dodges at the start were kinda hitbox porn. Not something I ever expect from Skyrim 😂 Also, the combat overall looks amazing in this modlist, very arcadey, but still requires positioning. Kinda Ghost of Tsushima in design language. Fights look way more dynamic than normal skyrim, even the dragon swooping in to kill the Troll looked like some scripted shit.

I'm super glad I found your channel and I love the content you make. I have a friendly and humble critique: It's sometimes really frustrating to listen to you slowly try to get an idea out of your mouth and then either not quite get there or get interrupted because you're splitting your attention between saying what you think, and doing a playthrough demo. I realize editing 40 minutes of gameplay is no fun but it might not be necessary if there was a section (at the beginning or end of the video maybe) where you allot your full concentration to speaking a more thought-out series of impressions. It would really help with clarity and accessibility of the biggest value (your opinion) in the video. I don't want a shorter video necessarily, cuz seeing the gameplay is important too, but it would make the video way way easier to parse if there was a section where you talk coherently, and then a different section where you are just playing with stream of consciousness. Whether you take this feedback or not, thanks for covering these sortsa modlists and skyrim content in 2024 and such. I love this hobby and it's great to find overviews of modlists that sometimes have biblical introductory writeups hahaha

Noob question. What is the enemy lock on mod being used here? Is this lock on system in lorerim too? I think I've seen it in lorerim streams but I don't see it in my lorerim playthrough that I just started.

The default setting for lock on in LoreRim is Mouse4 so if you dont have side buttons on your mouse you have to remap them to whatever you're comfortable with

Because Skyrim is an old game that’s not optimised to have a lot of stuff being rendered, if you play a list that doesn’t add a bunch of random crap everywhere you will find it’s a lot more forgiving for weaker processors.
