You Only Live Twice - Nancy Sinatra (Acoustic Cover)

The soundtrack for the fourth series of James Bond composed by the awesome, John Barry. He tried to incorporate the "elegance of the Oriental sound" with Japanese music-inspired tracks. It's such a beautiful arrangement with the sweeping strings against the 60's guitar sound. The version was sung by Nancy Sinatra. Sinatra was reported to be very nervous while recording - first she wanted to leave the studio; then she claimed to "sound like Minnie Mouse" (I?) Barry declared that the final song uses 25 different takes. It took me almost as many too!

Boy, this looks like it was recorded in 1967. The bleached out colors, the hairdo, the drapes...I even think that plant was all the rage in suburban living rooms back in the late '60s. Great video.
