The way people have completely contorted the narrative of this video is honestly embarrassing. No where did I say I was poor, I was highlighting the common belief those who own horses pay for their horses from an excess/excessive level of wealth (think Veruca from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory). I am a middle class 25 year old girl who works 7 days a week making a career in horses to fund my sport (I also buy horses at the end of the road with no where else to go and train them up myself). I have been breaking in horses since I was 18 and have worked my ass off to create a successful business, however the strain of my horses financially is still very relevant, this is something many of us face and was a relatable video to THOSE. For those of you looking to make snide remarks and comments that’s fine but it’s purely a reflection of what you wanted to make of a video to fit your narrative.

@@sage5530 the middle class doesn't exist anymore. Middle class people are poor now, and lower upper class people claim to be "middle class". Actual middle class people can afford neither horses nor a house nowadays, if you sacrifice a house for horses that makes you rich automatically, just not rich enough to have both a house and horses. Even in the 80s getting multiple horses was by no means middle class, now it's being rich, regardless of what you sacrifice to get them.

I do think you can’t leisurely have horses without being rich and more than two. I remember our middle class in my tiny town they would own one horse specifically to help around the farm and get to and from the store. They weren’t for “riding”. They were for work and essentials. But they were well off middle class which to everyone else is rich.

Oh for heaven's sake. I grew up in a rural area and most of the people we knew who owned horses weren't wealthy. How did they do it? They may have had the privilege of having land and/or a family farm (this doesn't mean you're rich), and community. People would help each other. Maybe you had a really experienced relative or friend who knew anything and everything about illnesses and knew how to treat most conditions. Maybe you grew your own hay or purchased it from a neighbor. Maybe in exchange for a pig butchering you built someone a shed. And yes, a lot of people in the last few decades reached the point where they just couldn't make ends meet, and would have to do the heartbreaking but necessary job of finding good homes for them. But I think her point stands that just because you have enough to keep animals, doesn't mean you're a mega millionaire. That is a misconception that a lot of people have, that she is directly playing off of in this video. Clearly she's choosing this lifestyle because she finds it rewarding. And I personally support it!

Enjoy being rich and appreciate it. In the same way that you should appreciate having a good mom when others don't, you aren't an ass for having that. You're only an ass if you don't recognize that what you have is something special that not everyone has the privilege of experiencing.

Not much of a DnD player, more like a passive watcher (the game's quite diverse and a lot, it's interesting!) But 19:26, that effect toes the line of space-time ability thingies... I'm sure any means of artificial love is rightfully regulated, but _time_ is..very fragile, I'd say. At least it's just a bit into the future! No stark manipulations maybe, just a glimpse into a future (alternate dimensions of future possible? The repulsion alternative somewhere out there?) I have a lot of thoughts into this, but I just might be overthink8ng, and I'm not a DnD player so I don't think I have the rights to debate about it. Anyway, I think there's more story-wise I'd like to say, but that might take too long. Love your videos! So very authentic(? As in playing into the world itself), immersive(!) audios effects, and your voice as calming and charming as ever. Just amazing content. Thank you!

My ex's mother had a lot of horses (at least 4 but my memory is not great it may actually have been 5 or 6) my ex also had 1, her sister had 1, and they had a pony. Mom worked at Red Wing Shoes for 25 years, and Dad was an ORT. They made really good money together and were barely making it. Got really tight when hay prices got insane. (I lived at their house briefly in my 20's). They drove vehicles they could afford and their house was starting to sink at the foundation. There's definitely a great deal of privilege in being able to have horses. The land to keep them on is already a huge advantage (assuming it's grassland and not dead). Someone definitely has to give these kids a headstart for them to be able to have these horses at all, or it wouldn't be feasible for them right now without a dump truck loaded with hundred dollar bills.

Saying that we're not rich does not mean we're calling ourselves poor. Also, being rich in this context for the video means having a great deal of money, or "plentiful; in abundance" as google tells you. Owning horses will rarely allow majority of horse owners to have extra money just left over. Yes horses are expensive. Yes "rich" is more than just liquid money but that's not the point. Horse owners are not rich over half of the time because they're constantly struggling financially and even if they did sell their horse they wouldn't make much off of it. It would not make them suddenly richer by doing so anyways. Besides that, this is just a joke about how expensive horses are.

Girl you have money to spend on horses. They are on your parent’s massive land. I don’t own a home, my car breaks down all the time (and has no towing capacity lmao), I buy clothes for myself once a year, and I eat cheap. I don’t do that because I have horses, I do that because I actually truly don’t have money. Wealthy people get to make decisions as to how they spend their money, and if you have so much disposable income that you get to take good care of multiple horses, you are wealthy. Every day you have the option of selling the horses and using that money to live an extremely nice lifestyle. It’s not a competition, I came from a very privileged background and have a lot of benefits for that that others don’t get so I don’t pretend to have less than I’m working with. I think you’re just ignorant to what being poor or going through hard times really looks like. It looks like having no options, and even though I’m sure you would never get rid of a horse to make your finances easier, you have plenty of options to change that.

I know having horses doesn't mean you're rich, but it still doesn't mean you're poor. She can afford to make sacrifices and invest her money on her horses, while a huge amount of people just can't afford to do those same things she's sacrificing and they're still not able to afford anything else, like a horse. As someone said in another comment, a lot of people confuse "not rich" with "poor". A "not rich" person is able to sacrifice some things for the sake of, for example, owning a horse. If an emergency happens, they're probably not going to be happy or able to afford it right away, but if the same things happened to a poor person they would lose everything. I don't 100% like her statements because she's kinda making it seem like she's poor even while owning horses, but that isn't really the reality. I know that wasn't her intention, I think she just doesn't realize that being able to make sacrifices for the things she loves is still a privilege.

Y’all are such children. It’s a video. You don’t like it or take it the wrong way? Then scroll. Don’t fight like immature kids who don’t get what they want or don’t hear what they want to hear. This is just her content. Have an issue? Well great because nothing will change. You can only control yourself, and obviously y’all aren’t doing it very well. And by commenting on her video you are supporting her in a way. Please be civil, grow up, and stop whining. Loved your video, I joke like this all the time with my friend and honestly when I get horses this is exactly what I could see myself saying 😂 I’m excited to go to college and start learning equine science and become a horse veterinarian. I don’t have the money for horses but maybe in the future I will. Love your channel, don’t listen to haters ❤

Maybe I'm just bitter from spending 20 years in poverty (I'm 20), but you are rich. You are genuinely just choosing to live like that. If you truly wanted, you could just not buy horses, or find a place who can take your horses in, and live comfortably. Actually lower class people don't have a choice in the matter

@@sage5530 I hope you don't have to learn first hand why that's just not true, and can learn by doing research. The economy is collapsing and the government fucks the lower class, and makes resources difficult to find and sometimes even qualify for. The housing market is fucked, inflation is making saving money impossible, and the wealth is hoarded by the rich. It is not as easy as "Saving money" because often there's no money to save. Rent, electricity, heating, plumbing, and any left over goes to overdue credit cards because there is no affording food with just paychecks alone, and I qualify for ZERO help. It's not people's fault, do not blame the people for the government that's supposed to support them failed.

Trying to be "relatable" by saying you never have more than $10 and you survive off of 99c ramen everyday is like saying "I chose poverty so I could afford horses! See, we aren't rich!" It's incredibly ignorant. Please understand anyone who does equestrian is AT LEAST upper middle class. Sure you're not a trust fund kid but you're still well off compared to most people. The way you've been replying to comments here brushing everyone off and saying "I'm not responsible for your financial situation" is just incredibly immature.

Hey, some things in life are more important than yourself. For me, it's my Dog. For her it's her horses. She gets joy out of having her horses and loves them. I bet she wouldn't give them up for the world. And that's awesome. She's ok with not having a brand new car, or going on vacations or buying new clothes every week, because she'd rather put that money toward her horses. That's her happiness. And I'm here for it.

This woman’s career is horses. Because of that she has to spend on horses to make money on horses. I train quarter horses and the amount of shit that goes into it is insane. You even have to shave down their teeth to fit their bridles. In the US our vet charges about $1,000 per horse. Her point in the video is she is making these sacrifices in order to continue her passion which many of us do. Do we see a good amount of money? Yes. Does it go right back into the horses to continue making money because it’s not a traditional job? Yes. Fuckin love instant noodles at this point though

Depending on where you life. 50k make you either unable to even rent a room or they enable a normal living. But in the western world, there is literally no area , were 50k total income p.a. make you rich.
