sure there are some junk food vegans who miss out on the benefits of a whole food diet, but on average they're still the healthiest. I think it's great that humans managed to cultivate plants in that way, animal products on the other hand slowly poison you to death also today, what's your point?

Morgan Ryan you don't know what you're talking about. We're not meant to eat every plant on the face of the Earth. Not everything is our natural food. But some, especially fruits, are our ultimate food and have always been.

I think that he's right. Maybe he knows some vegans who are often ill, but they can be ill for several reasons - bad diet choices (don't get all the nutrients that they should), genetics, lack of hygiene, lack of sleep, lack of physical exercise... Or, even if they get sick from what ever, people would right away make the connection to veganism, because, when you become a vegan, you are actually becoming only that. What ever happens to you, they are pinning on it. Cause they don't understand. I mean, I know a lot more meat eaters who are often sick too, but you never heard anyone telling them 'it's because you eat meat' (even tho it may be true!) No, meat eaters are always sick because of something els. Vegans never... There are million excuses, but not one valid. GO VEGAN!

The person who asks the questions, controls the conversation. You lead someone to their own conclusion by asking a series of questions that any reasonable person would answer in the same way. Notice how their body language becomes more and more uncomfortable as they realise what they are saying about themselves? Ed never argues or tries to push them, he just gently leads them to their own conclusions with his questions. Every vegan should study this technique. The hardest part is controlling the urge to bite back at some of the things people say. Ed is a master of this technique and it is by far the most effective way to talk to people and get them to listen. You just ask the right questions and let them talk. Keep calm and don’t over react and they will reach the logical conclusion themselves. So effective! This is one of the reasons I support Ed with a small monthly donation. He can do what I can’t.

@aliyahdavis40236 жыл бұрын
Rob D They only produce milk when there is a baby present so the milk would be used by the baby cow like it was originally supposed to be. Animals don’t need humans to preform normal bodily functions.
@robd83366 жыл бұрын
Aliyah Davis it’s clear you never have worked or been even on a dairy farm. Calf’s are kept with their month for three months (average time a calf drinks their mothers milk) but a female cow will continue to produce milk from that one calf for up to five years alone. If that cow doesn’t get it’s milk out of its udders it can cause severe pain, and even infection leading to death. That’s why you will see cows willingly walk up to the Milker.
@aliyahdavis40236 жыл бұрын
Rob D I haven’t, but I’ve seen footage of babies being taken from their mother. Maybe not every dairy farm operates that way, but many do and that is a big enough reason to stay away from dairy in my opinion

Sorry, he obviously cuts out the video where meat eaters have better arguments. Also if he tries on me, I can argue for long time on this. Pets are not just animals. So it is quite misleading to make that comparison. Just like human is animal too. Vegans try to make this as black and white matters which is wrong to begin with. BTW only humans care about ethic and Morales. There are differences in animals too. For sure, no dogs understand why you sad or happy. The reason why people cannot answer those questions on the street is because they are off guard and don't want to argue with a stranger. If he approaches me like this, I will want him to go and then go get a hamburger right after. Only he thinks what he said is so important.

Sad but true: One of my best friends went to China in 1999 and had a dog butchered as meat. That wasn't his plan. The dog was in an open market and he thought he was purchasing it as a pet. He considered buying it and having to make special flight arrangements and having to pay for quarantine, etc. He decided he wanted the dog and asked the vendors if they would hold the dog for him if he paid for it up front. With their limited English (and his limited Chinese) they agreed. He went back later to pick up the dog and they handed him a package wrapped in brown paper. He said, "No, my dog? Where's my dog?". Williams is crystal clear, in interviews and with his patients, and he doesn’t mince words when he talks about diet and heart health. He says that to prevent heart disease, “the most important things are plant-based nutrition, exercise, and weight loss. Most people will succumb to heart disease, diabetes, or hypertension on the standard American diet, which is why heart disease is the biggest killer in America. So the best primary prevention strategy is improved lifestyle. ” When he speaks to patients, he tells them frankly that their health is in their own hands. “If someone already has heart disease or plaque, I will always recommend dietary change and exercise. Heart disease has killed more people in the United States than any other disease since the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918-1920. I tell them they don’t have to be one of those statistics.”Williams says the science shows that “plaque regression in patients with angiographic evidence of disease has been shown with only four methods with an acceptable risk/benefit ratio.” The first two are the Ornish and Esselstyn diets, which are both low-fat, plant-based diets (Ornish’s plan includes stress reduction and regular exercise; the Esselstyn Diet eliminates all fatty foods including nuts and avocados). The other two are high doses of prescription medicines atorvastatin and rosuvastatin, which come with significant side effects in some patients. Williams points out that statin drugs and good diet are not mutually exclusive.

@@jeffcelis3024 Hello there, may I point out several dietary guidelines in favor of whole plant based diets? It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes. Another guidline is the 2019 edition of Canadian guideline which says: Many of the well-studied healthy eating patterns include mostly plant-based foods. Plant-based foods can include: • vegetables and fruits • whole grain foods • plant-based protein foods Eating plant-based foods regularly can mean eating more fibre and less saturated fat. This can have a positive effect on health, including a lowered risk of: • cancer • heart disease • type 2 diabetes. And last example: In the newly-released Australian Dietary Guidelines, plant-derived foods are given as alternatives to animal-derived foods, with meal planning advice accommodating vegan eating. In fact, the Guidelines state that alternatives to animal foods (such as nuts, seeds, legumes, beans and tofu) can, for all Australians, "increase dietary variety and can provide a valuable, affordable source of protein and other nutrients found in meats." Therefore, maybe you could find peer reviewed scienc based articles supporting your claims? Meanwhile, have a good day and take care.

Where did the water supply for those plants come from? How much pesticide do you think leaked into the environment as a by product? Were petro-chemicals used to fertilise the soil, leaching more toxic chemicals into the environment? Were the vegetables farmed in a diverse environment and not an eco-system destroying monoculture cultivation? Were the workers given a living wage and benefits that allow them to live healthy and happy lives? Do any of these things matter to you, or are you actually a bit of a hypocrite? Maybe you grew all those things yourself and can safely say your food is humane. Great, must be nice to have the sun shine out of your bum.

@LinkEX7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a really good approach. One of the most important ones, in fact. You need them to open up to you by providing a feeling of connection. That's why loudly declaring you're a vegan will usually just put a barrier between both parties before you can even have the chance of a 'natural discussion'. Some will even regard that statement alone as an attack declaration. Passive-agressive statements let alone shouting will barely reach anyone, or even get them further away if you want to truly change their way of thinking.

I don't like when people bring up religion when trying to defend their eating meat. Based on my knowledge, God allowed us to eat animals, He didn't create them for us to eat. A simple look at the book of Genesis will show that in the garden of Eden, no animals would harm or were harmed. Eden was considered Heaven on earth, so in a perfect world no one would eat meat. Love your neighbour as yourself, even if your neighbour happens to walk on all fours.

@Free Newman Interesting. I'm not a Christian and haven't read the Bible, but just looked up Leviticus 11 and was surprised by the long and specific lists of ok and not ok animals to eat. Wonder who actually came up with that at the time and the reasoning behind it (i.e their internal logic).

God is that wich connects us all. Satan is that wich seperates. Satan is the ego , satan is you. If you'd live in heaven ,and thus with god you'd literally see all animal individuals as yourself and would not be able to hurt them ,unless when your life depends on it. That IS satan's job ; making sure your individual life survives, in order to do this we have to be able to believe we are above other individuals, but LIVING in that soace ,in that convictions creates wicked men in spiritual places.

It's ya Boi It's ya Boi I am a Christian who loves animals and who uses God's Word as my standard for life and I wan to say that Jesus ate fish after His resurrection and I have no clue if we will eat meat in heaven. I think we dont have to eat meat on earth but I do believe God has ordained mankind to eat meat. He told Noah the clean animals were for food besides the plants. He sent ravens to send Elijah meat and bread in the morning and evening. God instructed the Israelites to sacrifice animals for the cleansing of their sins every year and God gave us His own precious Son Jesus who is also called the Lamb of God.
