This was an interesting listen both personally and as a coach. I tell clients, when you’re unsure what to do, especially when caught in a choose a or b trap, do nothing. Because the only way out of the prison of our conditioning is to stop actively participating in it. That’s exactly what you did. You listened to the little voice saying there is no problem. Do nothing. So what you want. And your life moved around you differently because you were allowing reality to just be. Very interesting case study in surrender. Personally this resonates too because I’m getting to the root of my own trauma that keeps me from allowing myself to be the leader I’m called to be. It’s like having to surrender to that awkward situation with the date but with thousands of people all at once. With the whole world all at once. But the beauty of surrender is that it’s about you and you alone. The notion that surrender to dating awkwardness is different in kind or magnitude than surrender to a calling is a bit of a delusion.
