Most people do not understand the true meaning of forgiveness, and it's got nothing to do with justifying or absolving someone's misdeeds. Forgiveness is a measure of pure strength that very few possess; the strength to let go and move on. To spiritually and emotionally detach yourself from that drama and pain that which hurts you so. You are instilling within yourself your inner peace when you forgive someone else.

"A man can have anything, if he is willing to sacrifice. With your birth comes a solemn vow: You will have nothing. Your privilege is the dirt. In the darkness, only ambition will guide you. The oath you swear, the promises you make, they are yours alone. Your freedom will be the wars you wage. Your birthright the losses you suffer. Your entitlement the pain you endure. And when darkness finds you, you will face it alone." -Valkorion-

I’ve learned to forgive those who have hurt me, not for them, but for myself. Forgiving others allows me to let go of the poisonous thoughts and feelings that I otherwise would carry within me., toxic thoughts and feelings that would eventually destroy me. That doesn’t mean that I forget or that I give the transgressor a second chance. I don’t. I cut the person out of my life for ever. Forgiveness serves multiple purpose for me: : it humbles me to acknowledge my transgressions and the grace that I seek; it cleans out the bitter feelings I might otherwise hold onto; and it makes space for others to enter into my life.

I don't care what others think of me. I was never someone that craved attention or worshiped celebrity. We are all just people with flaws and faults. I don't mind being alone. I would never beg for a person to accept me. That's degrading. I have learned never to trust to freely.

I didn’t crave attention and all of that either. But i learned the hard way about trust. At least i protect myself now. Much Respect to you,for being you 😊

The older I have gotten this has been the case. I still do it just takes longer. I hold grudges a bit now too, never did that before. Just trying to find my balance again. I have realized I don't have to forget but I can forgive.

I forgive for my own self, but I’m not overlooking or giving other chances to allow those to inflict hurt upon me again ❤

what do you think about this, Matthew 18:21-22 21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[a]

"Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do"... Say that to George Carlin. Most people are either crazy, or idiots. That's how and why you are having the crappy thought leaders as you have now.
