Yeah he's good at argumenting👍
@AWAREDIAGRAM6809 жыл бұрын
***** Definition: Argumenting is a form of discussing or deabating in which disagreement is expressed, attempting to persuade someone of something, by giving reasons for accepting a particular conclusion. The general structure of an A is that of premises (typically in the form of propositions, statements or sentences) in support of a claim: the conclusion. A can be supported deduction (providing a gurantee of the truth of the conclusion) or induction (providing proof or reasons supporting the probable truth of the conclusion). The standards and criteria used in evaluating arguments and their forms of reasoning are studied in logic. Ways of effectively formulating arguments are studied in rhetoric.

As a British person I feel honoured that Corey is so admirable of our sense of humour and culture :)
@philbateman19899 жыл бұрын
+COG Channel (COGchannel) You'd be surprised how popular our comedy is all around the world. I think it just works in a way that really speaks to some people. It's more true to life I suppose, it's often pretty cruel and dry on the surface in that our comedy is generally structured around misery and failure, but it's the fact that it's just an inch away from tragedy that makes it so relatable. I think Stephen Fry summed it up pretty well once when he said that British humour is different to American humour in that American comedy tends to have happy endings where the main character falls in love and gets what it was they set out to get, while British comedy tends to have less uplifting conclusions, and the main character generally goes through a lot of absurdity and hardship, only to either completely fail, or wind up pretty much where they started in the end. The British sense of humour focuses less on seeing the characters get what they set out for, and more on how wrong things can go for them.

Damn I absolutely have to read Corey's new book based on what he briefly discussed in this interview, because regardless of the fact that I'm only 24 years old, I literally feel as if I'm a 37 year old man trapped in a young man's body, and there so many things that people i general do - especially people from my generation and younger - that drive me insane and make me fucking hate them! It's such a relief when you find other people that strongly agree, which is something he mentioned. Most of all though, it provides me with reassurance that I am in fact a little more sane (to a degree,) along with being able to rationalize my reasoning with the people that express similar viewpoints...
@manoumortelmans26306 жыл бұрын
Adam L I really agree with you. I have the problem that I am only twelve years old yet I feel way older. This is absolutely horrible. I feel more sane (as you described) than my mother. I have been a Slipknot fan since day 1. The fact that Corey is a fairly intelligent person and can speak well makes him being in a wicked metal band all the more entertaining. What I am afraid of is that Corey is starting to become the new Gene Simmons. He has an opinion about EVERYTHING and trips over himself getting to a camera or microphone to do an interview. Other non famous people have opinions as well only we don't have the platform to puke them out to everyone. If he keeps down this road where his opinion about people, music etc etc is the ONLY correct one in his mind......people WILL turn on him eventually.....Look at Simmons. The man is a walking joke.
