What I love about Peter and what I loved about the Libertines... their imperfections are what makes them PERFECT to me. Not posers, cookie cutter machine/studio made fakes. What you see is what you get - and the only thing you DO know is that you can NEVER know what to expect next! Which is more fun, a song that sounds exactly the same each time, or one like this? Each time you get a little something extra. Great video - thanks!

You'll never fumigate the demons No matter how much you smoke Just say you love me For three good reasons And I'll throw you the rope You don't need it Because you are the survivor Of more than one life And you're the only lover I had Who ever slept with a knife But you're not Judy Garland Oh just like me you never really had a home ((of your own)) But I'm not Tony Hancock baby Until the dawn We'll stone the crows We'll stone the crows And you see I've brought you flowers I've brought you flowers all collected from the Old Vic Stage Well I've been sitting here for hours, baby Just chasing these words across the page Cause you're my Waterloo I'll be your Gypsy Lane I'm so glad we know just what to do And exactly who's to blame And you're my Waterloo I'll be your Stanley Park Well I'm so glad we know just what to do And no one's left Stumbling around Tumbling around Fumbling around In the dark

beautiful lyrics, naked interpretation: love Vs drugs? Doherty is everything but an ignorant or a stupid guy: his knowledge of poetry is real and I can't believe those eyes are empty of cleverness: more he's brilliant. I wish there'll always be artists (and persons) like him who can live on the edge and capture it in such a sensitive way.

Before 1999. There is an early recording on the 1999 tape and the song had been written for quite some time before that
