In some ways, you sound just like Andreas :) I mean, he too was obsessed with his music, playing till his fingers bled, 16 hours a day... and look at where he is now ! You have the right attitude & self-belief... We'll be "watching this space" and cheering you on from afar... and hopefully we will be able to attend YOUR concerts one day too :) This quote helped me when I was your age: "What lies before us and what lies after us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us"... It gave me the courage to DARE follow my dreams... leave my home country (France) at 23 to settle in England and it was the best decision I ever made. We absolutely need to embrace our uniqueness... I have a quote on my fridge that says: "Why fit in when you were born to stand out ?"... So, go, go, go... and I hope your words inspire many, many, many.... xxx

I'm trying to do everything I can to get a job that I think I'll enjoy (journalist), I want to leave France cuz I really don't like my country and live/work in Scotland... I'd like to visit Norway too. I'd love to meet my favourite band, Black Veil Brides, and TIX/Andreas as well ! Maybe if I achieve all of this, I'll be happy. I don't know. @ Ray, I get it because I hated living in France too. I never fitted in the culture. However, I can tell you one thing: wherever you go, you take yourself with you and my life didn't get any easier overnight. Over the years I have found that the happiest people (myself included) are the ones who invest all their energy in a cause greater than themselves. Causes don't disappoint, whereas people often do. Most surveys on happiness will tell you the same thing :)

Maybe the fact that I felt more happy getting a job for my friend and reaching out to a DJ who lost his dad 25 years ago and my dad was one of the first to call for help and probably saved the DJs life (who was a passenger in his dad's car crash) than the prospect of getting my studies done is telling me something about who's dreams I'm living?

You are so, so inspiring and motivating! With me it is drawing. I have always loved to draw but even tho I see my improvement, I still feel like I will never be good enough. I see all those amazing artists on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok....and I feel like I will never gonna be as good as them. Something in my mind tells me that I shouldn't even try because I will never reach them. But at the same time I can't stop thinking about new drawings, new motives, new equipment... You'll never be them, and that's good. Because they're best at being them, and you're the best in the world at being you. No one can ever do the exact same drawings as you do. You have a unique perspective of the world and it's so valuable. An original is worth more than a copy. Art is so beautiful because it's about YOU. No one want's you to remaster Mona lisa, we want you to express your joy on paper. We want to see what masterpieces come out of your mind. See something that never was before. You are AMAZING. Truly you are. I love painting and drawing too, might share some of it some day, but mostly it's for me. It's a part of my imagination spilling out on paper, so it's special to me. Same things with my songs, some of them are deeply personal and it's going to feel so scary and strange to let them out into the world, but there's this quote I love (yes, I'm a sucker for good quotes), it goes like "A ship is safest at harbour, but that's not what ships are for." So you know, don't play it safe

You should not worry when you are writing lyrics of your song about others opinions. Or are you good enough to write them. Art is not about that anyway. Perfect lyrics don' t exist. Its more about are your lyrics honest description of your soul,of unique experience you are going at a moment. That's what makes a song great. Being honest to yourself about what you are going through at a moment. Then many people could relate to your lyrics too. You are really a good storyteller. I was thinking while listening to this and also another video when you were describing how you didn' t want to live anymore,that you should write a song about that. If you didn' t you should and if you did you could let us hear. I would really like to hear,plus you now have great audience here ,Tix lovers,we could all relate to that,and none of us would judge you ,we could support you. If you want to sing and share yours songs don' t wait some special moment in future,that magic moment is now:).

Wow, just like me then. I tried cheerleading, archery, football, swimming, painting, the guitar, the flute, gymnastics and so on and nothing ever stuck. Some of it I still do but the only think I ever always came back too was writing, book, music, magazines, short stories. I just love writing. So yeah I'd love to be really good at some sport or a skill, but why try to be good at something I don't like instead of spending my time doing the things I already love? You don't have to be perfect just have fun, and you'll never waste time

I've been thinking a lot, that maybe I've chosen the wrong career path: I'm going to be a 2nd year in Biological Sciences degree but now I'm more into photography and drawing. I especially love travelling and discovering new places and cultures :) My biggest dream ever is to move live in Norway, so I could go in the mountains and other incredible places in search of inspirational photos...( I know, that's really weird: how I could love arts when I'm studying science stuff?? ). My parents always wanted for me to perfect, so many decisions have been made without knowing me). It's taken me a while to comment, been busy but also juggling with thoughts. I like to believe that I want to be myself in 5 years time and I strive for it. The truth is , who I want to be in 5 years time is always in terms of what others imagine me to be. This restlessness between me and myself results in me being a very dynamic person and reinventing myself Every few months, never finding my true self. It also means I have stories I want to write, games I want to make, but never get the time to make them because being myself that others imagine me to be always takes priority. This pandemic hit me bad because I wasn't allowed to travel to conferences and be alone with myself for a few days, be myself, outgoing with strangers, socialising, and be interested in others stories... Sometimes perfection is not the problem, it's what target you are trying to reach... Maybe ... Maybe it's the wrong target...

You don't have to find yourself. Identity isn't set in stone, it's forever changing. I get that, feeling like you don't know what to do because there's so much you want to do. But you gotta start somewhere, spread those wings, test the waters. Get out there and just start doing SOMETHING. It will always bring you closer to your goal, even if you don't see it clearly, than doing nothing will. Don't know if this made any sense XD

This explains so much ! Let me guess you were out of step with other people, maybe bullied but (hopefully) not as bad as Tix. I was a playground bully but the American kind; Scandinavians fight with cleverly cruel words with Americans it's dealer's choice, I can punch 👊 😉 you in the mouth or I can punch you in the stomach! But never, never punch girls! Maybe find girls boyfriend and make sure girl gets good view of me beating him up and (once) forced girl to hold my jacket while doing so.
