Love the video dude! I think there is a big misconception that bass can’t see well in dirty or stained water. Bass are a super fresh water predator and can hunt and see really well in stained water.

I just loosen the drag enough to allow it to slip alil then tighten up my drag on my spinning reel when using light line
@jvboutdoors27034 жыл бұрын
it allows your to set the hook harder and when the fish pulls drag it pins the fish even more and with allow you to keep that fish in better

Don't forget, any ElaZtech, 10x Tough, or TPE can't be mixed with other soft plastics! Thermoplastic Elastomer is awesome, but can't be thrown in storage with other soft plastics, or they will literally melt/bond.

What a great video. I’ve just recently purchased some of those lures and never really use them before saw this video has helped a lot. how do you insert the rattle into the worm lure ?? That would help so much like you say when the water clarity isn’t very good ... over here in the UK its perch and Pike that I will be targeting. Unfortunately don’t have any bass 🥲🥲.

How long of a leader are you attaching to the 15lb braid ??🎣🎣
@WestinSmith4 жыл бұрын
It varies, sometimes I’ll tie a longer one where it pretty much hits the spool when I’m about to cast the bait, but if it’s real light stuff I try and keep it shorter like 2 feet or so
@Randomhay214 жыл бұрын
That makes sense thank you bud 👌🏼🎣

I noticed the first catch you didn’t even really set the hook and was the a saucy on a Ned head??? Wow I didn’t realize those saucy swimmers were that small??? I know you guys got smaller sizes but I thought I had the smallest size but those are tiny compared to the two packs I have lol but now I might have to check dicks out and see if they have them because that looks deadly for a winter Ned setup honestly that and a rattlin chunk are gonna be the juice this winter for me in Cali!!!! Hey Westin awesome video though as always very informational stuff about the Ned so you definitely gave me some ideas and tricks to try. Keep up the good work man I really enjoy your content it makes my day honestly so keep them comin bud
@WestinSmith4 жыл бұрын
Yeah since the hook is much smaller it penetrates easier and you don’t have to give hooksets a lot of force on the lighter gear. 3.3” saucy swimmer

Not really fishing a ned RIG, just the ned HEAD. Not a floating lure, not really fishing the ned to its fullest advantage.
