I'm old enough to remember the following. In the 60's it was oil will be gone in 10 years. In the 70's it was another ice age will happen in 10 years. In the 80's it was acid rain will destroy all the crops in 10 years. In the 90's is was the ozone layer will be destroyed in 10 years. In 2000 it was the glaciers will all melt in 10 years. In 2010 it was the east and west coasts in US will be under water from rising sea levels in 10 years. These things never happened but what did happen was taxes were increased. Some of us want to visit our families. I for one am poor and I fly to Sweden from the U.S once a year to see my mom and my sister. Wish I could go more often. Already expensive for me as it is now. I think the airlines should protest this. I always go with British Airways that operates with American Airlines. I really like their service. Yep, that's the plan, you'll own nothing and be happy. And as for mortgages or loans on houses (re dominicestelley3169's comment), it won't stop there. Old boiler, can't afford new "green" energy? You'll be taxed so heavily that eventually you won't be able to afford to keep your home, IF you want to have energy which isn't controllable via the smart route of course - no wood burners, no open fires, eventually I suspect no gas, it will be these heat pump things and linked to the electric grid - which can be switched off via smart means. No smart meters etc, no energy, I predict is where we will head if people don't stand up and say no. Groups of neighbours need to band together to defend the houses which can still use off grid heating, to help keep each other alive. I know, I know, it sounds far fetched, but the future could be stranger than fiction if nobody stands up and says "NO MORE!"

No; small airports absolutely will exist, for two main reasons: the private airplanes of the wealthy, and the privately-owned airplanes used for crop dusting! Wealthy people abide no restrictions on their perquisites; and crop-dusting aircraft are an absolute necessity for pest control (lest organic crops be destroyed, and herd diseases spread) even if severe controls are placed on crop-dusting (and you can well expect those controls, as many restrictions are already in).

Seriously mate, my wife is disabled and I'm retired on the state pension and Starmer and co are planning to take away the PIP payments on which we are heavily dependent and pay the instead money to various people and shabby organizations who will provide training and support to get people into jobs that don't exist and which they couldn't do anyway. In the Middle East the genocide and the land grab still continue unabated whilst the world look on with almost complete indifference. British Forces are attacking the Yemen a country with which as far as I'm aware we're not actaully at war and also Russia. and so on....... And all you worried about is that you might have to pay a bit more for your holidays, (we haven't been able to afford a holiday for years.)
