Perfectionism hit me hard as I was starting this video and finishing my paintings. This led me to make this one about the problem with perfectionism and why it's not healthy to try to be perfect all the time. Instead of trying to be perfect, you can learn a thing or two from the stories and realizations I mentioned in this video.

It was a joy watching your video. It looks like most of us feel the same way when it comes to out art! How many times have I canceled or postponed painting or drawing because I was sure ut was gonna end up a failure. How many times did I get angry at myself for not being able to perform as I would have wanted to... Alas, we need to embrace our journey and let things go, move on and try again. Your master copy looks amazing even though it is absolutely apparent that it does not resemble the original (I hope this doesn't sound rude, not my intention at all). I hope you will keep painting and creating no matter what. Even if you see flaw in your art others will definitely see excellence. ❤️

What a nicely captured process of painting! And your voice is so nice. I think being an artist and a perfectionist is a struggle. It can help in many way but in many cases it takes away the pleasure and freedom. I had my paintings taken away from me so I wouldn't overwork them. Now I am just trying to be more free.
