The movie is "My Bodyguard" It's a great movie. Adam Baldwin (not related to the Baldwin Brothers) is the (actor) gentleman with the motorcycle. When i was younger, i looked like him and people would sometimes ask me if i was him. I didn't mind the attention at all! LOL. Years ago Mr. Baldwin was filming a movie in Apache Junction Az. I recognized him at a Albertsons, and we talked for awhile. He invited me to the set, had lunchvwith the crew, and gave me part if the scrip. Great guy! Randy

In HS, one of my freshman friends was being picked on by older students. I came over and got my friend away from the bullies. They wouldn't back off so we pummeled each other. They were bruised and bloodied...I was bruised, but defended myself better than they figured. They got suspended, but I didn't...only because they were troublemakers and a couple students saw that I was sticking up for my friend. No one ever messed with me or my friend for the rest of HS; however, everyone thought I was psychotic...which of course I wasn't. People were afraid to be around me and it cost me many potential friendships. I often wondered if one of the bullies started that ugly rumor to get back at me. I became very successful in life, but looking back, I really would've liked to have had some additional HS friendships to carry into adulthood. Life has a sick sense of humor sometimes.

Kids as a person who has been to gladiator school I can tell you it doesn't matter if you win or lose it only matters that you get down. Everybody can be whipped on any given day so take your licks like a man and stand up for yourself and people will respect you. Now if we are talking about a unprovoked attack where you fear for your life defend yourself by any means. The only fair fight is the one you walk away from. But if its just some high school bully just get down show them your heart.

It is interesting how it can impact your entire life. When I was in elementary school, I got picked on by a bully who had about 30 lbs on me. I got my first weight bench and weight set as a result and worked out hard every day, intent on not being the victim of a bully again. By junior high, I tripped a bully on the first day of school who was intimidating kids waiting for the bus. He had been held back/flunked 3 times and was much older. He said he was going to hang me from the tree behind the school and it turned out I had a class with him and he kept trying to scare me and then told me to feel his bicep. I always wore long-sleeve shirts and he assumed I was just a wimp, but when he felt my bicep, expecting drinking straw arms, he was shocked. He began to think twice about getting into a fight. By high school, if a bully beat up one of my friends, there would be a reckoning. I hated bullies and still do today; six decades later. I still work out with weights every day and cycle 8 miles every morning. That one bully in grade school was the impetus for a whole life of working out.

Mike Barnes you're not trolling me . I do that for an hour a day on KZbin to others xD

***** Your opinion just become significantly irrelevant to me. You used the word "your" instead of "you're" because your literacy isn't probably up to the standard of today's educational process. If you want to start a debate with me over the internet, make sure you're grammatically correct in at least wording. Unless however you have a new philosophy that is intended to change the terminology of the words, yet you keep it confined to your own knowledge. That was sarcasm on my previously stated accusation in the sentence previous to this one, mocking your ignorance to the literacy of a 6th grader.

This was school life in the 70s and 80s. It may still be - I don't know. Back then, they settled scores with their fists and it was done. None of this crap of 10 guys ganging up on one, or guns, or knives. I hope we've gotten away from all of that.

You got it the other way around
@ollieox9181Ай бұрын
@@maxhatush5918 How do you figure? I was there - a rural town, public school, 70s and early 80s. School bullies did their thing, very much like what we see here. But when it all got settled, there were no guns, knives, or 10 against 1. Most of the time, when it was over, we dusted off and went home. What's the "other way around"?
