@helenatkinson7422 there seems to be a blindness about psychological and emotional abuse. I've experienced it full force and the psychological abuse was so much more harmful because you can interpret most of it but it's catastrophic and I think it's harmful seeing the lack of public support but worse the public attack on her as a victim is truly abhorrent and shamefully coming from an older generation who must not be educated enough or perhaps it is just mainly a bunch of narcissistic type personalities responded and enjoy the goading of a victim. It's disturbing and nothing short of toxic. It's one thing ignoring it and hoping it may all quiten down because no details came out such as footage etc BUT to personally attack and shame a person's experience is vile. I really feel for her and it's simply why we as a nation say nowt, put up whatever you want to call it. It's so sad but I can at least say I'm glad I do not have that lack of understanding or empathy for a person. I wish you luck with your studies and career, and I hope you help many others suffering at the hands of abuse.

She is describing EXACTLY how a narcissist behaves. The ‘walking on eggshells’ i.e. she didn’t know how he was going to react from one minute to the next, the devaluing behaviour, the passive aggressive comments. He was getting away with it for a long time. She is telling the truth and I’m glad she spoke out. People don’t see what goes on behind closed doors. Even though there were people writing things down, they felt unable to write down EVERYTHING that he was saying in case they got into trouble, this is definitely believable. This ‘enabling behaviour’ happens far too often i.e. when employees working in an organisation feel powerless to say anything in case they lose their job or rock the boat.

Johnny Depp is an actor, yet he was a victim of domestic violence. And many people didn’t believe him, the Sun and other newspapers labelled him as a ‘wife beater’ he lost film roles, Disney dropped him, and he lost two court cases, when in fact his wife at the time was the one who was physically and emotionally abusive to him, so badly that he lost a finger, had black eyes, and he had to flee from one room to another to get away from her rage. Depp didn’t give up, and I had the opportunity to watch his trial live (went on for weeks!)… and justice prevailed. Was never about the money for him, was about the truth, clearing his name for himself and his family, and to also tell the world (as Amber would mock him) ‘tell the world, I, Johnny Depp, am a victim of domestic violence’.

Most of his previous partners have come forward to say that it also happened to them. They have also been interviewed by the top BBC executives . 4. He has NOT been hired back!! If the BBC didn't have REAL PROOF to substantiate what she and others before her were saying ,trust me, they would not want a huge lawsuit from his side and they would have him back in a heartbeat ! If you don't believe this then you continue to wear blinders . We see people on tv ,smiling ,speaking and "acting "enthusiastically ,showing affection ,acting positive and being at the top of their game. This is tv ,when the camera is on sometimes it's a persona you are seeing and hearing and not the real person . Of course they're showing their best side. Amanda Abbington , whether you like her or not, has a good career as an actor , do you actually think she went on Strictly for this to happen? This has brought a lot of cruel and vile attention her way ,do you think she's enjoying it? This entire thing is unfortunately going to cost her in the longrun and I'm sure she knows that. She's telling her story because she's trying to protect other woman from having to go through this. This kind of bullying and misogynistic behaviour goes on every day in all walks of life. [sarcasm] I love how she is now accusing Giovanni of being Misogynistic. [/sarcasm] The BBC report stated that Giovanni was not cruel, he was not aggressive and he certainly was not Misogynistic. Did you know that one incident of what the BBC deemed as bullying was Giovanni saying "You're so talented but you're wasting it" - I can hear gritted teeth of frustration permeating that sentence, but anger? Bullying? Please, give me a break. Giovanni's Lawyers have stated that what Amanda Abbington is saying in public now are lies and that she must stop saying them. I honestly believe that if she continues saying what she is saying in this interview and adding more garbage to it with each telling, she could find herself in court for slander and libel - so all the money she's earning from these interviews will be blown on having to pay Giovanni for her slander Have you seen how Amanda Abbington behaves? She swears like a sailor, uses foul swear words and suggestive tones etc, so she creates an environment of her not seeming to care about whether or not someone in her company uses the same language or behaves in the same way as her. I believe it was this kind of environment she created while she was on Strictly - and then fabricated most of what Giovanni's supposed behaviour was towards her for publicity, not caring one iota that by doing so she would be attempting to ruin someone's else's career, reputation and public/private image. I'll finish on this. Amanada Abbington let something slip. @4:41 she begins the story about how she found two lumps on her breast the morning of the day she left Strictly. The MOMENT she told Giovanni why she was having problems with the dance they were doing (the lumps on her breast) and how she couldn't concentrate because of them, Giovanni was immediately supportive of her; Amanda states "He (Giovanni) was great and he said 'let me know how it goes' - but shes not happy. It's like she's blaming Giovanni for not being supportive of her dilemma from the moment she arrived for Training, that he was only supportive when she told him. So did she expect him to be a mind reader, that he should have known without her having to tell him?

Ive read a lot of comments and it seems to me that theres a lot of people ( who have just sat and listened and heard this woman tell everyone how she was treated and how she was spoken to. She put up with bullying, insults and cruelty, did i mention bullying? Oh yes i did. She was absolutely spoken to with low level disrespect - as a human being, and as a woman.....all under the umbrella ofhim being a passionate artist and teacher...who speaks to women as being pointless and diffucult. Imagine going somewhere to enjoy yourself and learn to dance and celebrate dancing and performing and you are subjected to by insults and talked down to) and here there are lots of women blaming the poor woman, criticizing her and not supporting and believing her. Imagine if it was your sister or your daughter. I tell you what, theres something wrong with you. I know the world is getting worse and theres so many supporting negatives and ppl siding with narcisists and bullies, with lack of awareness or compassion or without any intuition or discrimination of what and who and which behaviour is right or wrong. But this is shocking how so many have written here. You must be a part of a collective fall in humanity tio go on at this wonan who clearly was not treated well. When someone doesnt fight back...like she should have done in the beginning and nipped him in the bud, then she should now have ppl, women and men fighting along side her, or for her. Its well known that ppl fight the weak, the tolerant, the nervous ones, the ones that dont speak up but put up, with..That's basically why he bullied her, Instead of sympathising with her, there's such nastiness continuing. Yes, thats what she seems to attract, poor woman. And you dont even know youre doing it to her , too. Youre just highlighting a big problem in society . Sad. Plus, if she was a young inoffensive girl or your daughter, youd stand up for her. But because shes older and appears capable, youre calling her a moaner and a liar. Youre just as abusive. Sooo sad. It seriously makes me wonder if the ones against her here are comfortable being treated the way she was and dont think theres anything wrong with it. You should have more respect for yourself.
