Just because it has been the way doesnot mean it has to be the same in the days to come. We can choose to respect all forms of life, show concerns towards the suffering of others. And your a reactionary stance about plant consumption shedding the tears for all those plants that have been killed or mutilated or in any way harmed for human use, its the non-vegans who contribute more for the plight of plants. We can and do. Some of us at least. The problem is too many other people who are all talk but no action. It's easy to complain about our freedoms being restricted but what do you do to fight back? Do you speak up when it matters? Do you point out the infraction in the moment as it's happening? Or do you silently watch and say nothing, then wait til you're home to call a friend or vent to your spouse? I've been out in some very uncomfortable positions before in the name of standing my ground for my personal rights. It's something I feel is my duty as an American citizen to uphold. We are in fact, the governing body of the country, not the politicians. At least that's how it's supposed to be. We can't even hope to achieve that goal again if we give up holding our elected leaders accountable. There are way more of us than there are of them. When you are not the victim of the animal agriculture it's so easy to go and make stand up comedy about people who don't exploit animals and who want to free all animals of any abuse, and murder. Unlike her attempt of a speech, Joey Carbstrong's message was full of empathy and compassion towards animals, a great example to follow and put in practice in coherent actions by being vegan.

@@titovalasques No, I didn't say that. Whether it is moral or not to farm animals is open for discussion. I have farmers in my family. Their animals roam freely in the fields of northern England with a great deal of space where they can live tranquil lives. From my observations, I would say they have enjoyable lives with no cruelty. In my opinion, it is not immoral to do this. Some people would argue with this point of view. They would say that these animals should no longer be raised on farms. But what would the result be? These animals would simply disappear. Millions of potential lives would never even have a chance to exist. Vegans would replace these farms with plantations to grow plants, taking up more room, destroying natural habitats for native creatures and killing many of these smaller creatures in the process, by starvation or during harvesting. People who would ban meat-eating do not simply take the moral high-ground. I think they are wrong and that they haven’t thought the problem through. Katie has the right to have her opinion on the subject and that is the point I was making.

I think her oblivious attitude and silly jokes did more for veganism than Joeys speech. I thought she was supposed to be arguing against veganism with true and respectable points. What we got was an uneducated and oblivious palava of jokes. I got to appreciate the the jokes but i thought this was supposed to be a debate. 4 years ago when i seen joey carb strong for the 1st time he actually angered me, and im the kind of person who is interested in the truth above all else and he set me off on a journey of learning and fighting for the reasons we should not be vegan. Through a love of meat and cheese i researched, i read only peer reviewed studies and listened to figures from both sides of the argument searching for the truth. After all if we were supposed to eat animals then the information should be obvious, we should be carnivores just like nature and we should benefit in some way otherwise, why are we causing so much suffering for thoes tasty and addictive animal products? Unfortunately after a year of looking and learning and sifting through the bullshit i cane to understand that unfortunately Joey was right. Down every avenue, every argument and every aspect that could be used to fight for the right to consume animals, i came to realise that everything ive been taught and the attitude i had was wrong and i could argue no more. Animal agriculture is one of the biggest industries in the western world, probably outside of the western world too. Unfortunately i realised that we have been sold a lie and its clearly visible when we see peoples attitudes how people get angry and fight for the lies weve all been taught despite the information thats avaliable to debunk these lies. We still dont want to hear about it because were all addicted to the beautiful taste of animal products. If your the type of person who is interested in the truth above all else, if you wanna cut through the opinions and the anicdotal evidence and you found the research to prove that we shouldnt be vegan, then i wanna see this because id be down burger king buying myself an XL bacon double cheeseburger and washing it down with a delicious vanilla milkshake. I may not be an animal lover but i know an injustice when i see it and i love myself too much to continue to eat products that simply are not good for me. Im happy to eat processd food and chocolate because im only human and my taste pleasure is hard to control. But what im not happy to do is pay for the abuse, rape, mulitation and murder of baby animals, just so i can enjoy eating a product that is in lots of cases a literal proven carsigen. After all, the optimum amount of animal products in a humans diet through all stages of life is nil. If your not aware of this, then please go and prove me wrong, i implore you to go and find out for yourself, if not for your own health, do it for the animals, and if you dont care about your own health or the suffering of baby animals, do it for the environment and the planet. Trust me, veganism is backed by fact and logic and the more you look, the more you will know.

Found the vegan w/ low testosterone and a "tiny member" 🍤 1. Many people who eat 🥩 only eat it from _sustainably_ harvested sources and therefore *do not* contribute to the "suffering of animals in factory slaughter houses" 2. Vegans often forget the _realities_ of the _absolutely _*_brutal_*_ existence_ that animals must suffer through when "living free in the wild" lmao. There's a *reason* most animals have a _much larger_ # of babies than us!! It's because very few of them will manage to even live long enough to become adults! Oxford is absurd. I love Katie. I work in nutrition and have been in the chronic illness community for 14 years. If anyone says ,"this is the only diet for the entire planet", run don't walk. Ive met and wirked with so many children with autism and other issues who ate radically different diets. Ome would eat Nody Ecology. The other would eat SCD or GAPS. Each one might have tried the other and done very poorly. You have histamines, oxalates, phenols, glutamates, and other intolerances. Some kids can only handle mostly meat and starches while others tolerate a mostly plant based, fermentation type diet. To rule that only one is allowed and how DARE YOU eat meat, dooms one of these children to feeling ill, all for a religious ideology. Yes, its a religion. The majority of "the science" is epidemiological in nature which cannot prove anything and only make correlations. And then that pesky anthropological research, archaeological finds that show humans thrived very well on non plant based diets. The basis was almost always meat. It was supplemented by tubers or fruits. Sometimes other plants would be used, but all of these things were prepared in ways to make the foods more edible and digestible. This.doesnt mean one cannot choose to eat vegam or plant based. What it means is that this is all political and religious in nature. Just like not every depressed person takes the same drug, not every human eats the same diet and should NEVER EVER be forced to do so as it may mean the difference between barely getting through the day and thriving.
