I am a chimera. My "secret" twin is a fraternal brother, which makes my condition much more rare. I also have multiple sclerosis, which is an autoimmune disease, and the docs do and have done a lot of studies on me to see how this whole thing works and how it affects not only me, but also other chimaras both now, and in the future. For that reason I'm always wanted for clinical trials. I guess I'm a bit of a human guinea pig, but if it helps other people, I'm more than glad to be one. If I can't help humanity out in any other way, at least I'm useful in this one way.

"Without this army of microscopic interlopers you literally wouldn't survive." Well... That's like saying, a ruptured Appendix if not treated in 24 hours is fatal. Well... About a decade ago, the week before Thanksgiving, I was in retail management and having 'gut pain'. Well, the week before Turkey day (here in the states) is kind of busy, so I tried to ignore it. But then the Tuesday before, I called into work to say I was gonna visit the Doctor, and I might be a little late. The Doctor said "appendicitis" and had me drive myself over to the local hospital where I met a surgeon and we talked about my "in and out the next day" surgery, all done through "one little hole." Next thing I knew I was waking up and my ex-wife (and still good friend) was leaning over me saying "you almost died!" I said hi, what's she doing here, and what is she talking about? I learned that it sometimes happens, and did to me, that an appendix can rupture, reseal itself, and repeat the process over and over. And thus I'd done a good job of poisoning myself. So I ended up with several days in the hospital, three holes (instead of one), and the Doctor told me he'd basically had to use antibiotics to kill everything in there, good and the bad... and for 90 days I had to eat A Lot of yogurt (I hate yogurt). So yeah I got a lot of my "microscopic interlopers" wiped out, and survived a ruptured appendix for a week. I don't recommend it. As always thank you so very much for the video.

When I was 13 I complained of stomach ache to my parents… but they thought I was just trying to blag going to school… after day 5 I was rushed into hospital with a ruptured appendix… my parents felt so guilty. Headache spell unlocked for blagging not attending school in future.

Excellent insights. 99.9% of Near Death Experience survivors will of course argue that we are not our bodies but immortal spirits inhabiting physical bodies to have a short physical adventure.

The gut bacteria link to autism isn't that the bacteria cause it, it's that autistic people often have sensory problems with food that can limit their diets, ergo affecting their gut bacteria

Huh. This isn’t why I’ve subscribed to your excellent channel, but this episode has shed light upon three mysteries in my life. I’ll have to do more research, but you’ve offered me the right questions to ask. Thanks for that. Before watching this episode I was all at a stand as to how to address these mysteries in my life. Now I have a baseline for further research.

How odd! I was diagnosed w/Crohn's disease for 35+yrs & it is severe enough it's debilitating. Along the way of many different Drs one told me the best thing I could do to regain health was to use public toilets or outside port-a,-potties due to the fact both are unsanitary & the best resource to collect foreign bactrim. As crazy as it sounds it worked! I joined a traveling carnival & my health has improved far beyond what the medical professionals had achieved w/ the 40+ medications & treatments.

Public toilets are too few & too smelly. Why bother ? You could've become an MP & stayed in the warm.

If it had shown that she wasn't related to her kids at all then it would be pretty obvious as to what happened as well that they were switched in the hospital before they developed any defining characteristics and before baby tracking became a legitimate thing

My third son was supposed to have a twin. The day after I found out that I was pregnant, I started miscarrying. It was found that one of the embryos was not developing properly. The other was fine. Within a week, the first embryo had disappeared, resulting in Vanishing Twin Syndrome. My youngest aunt had it with her 4th child. I've always wondered if my third son is a chimera.

I have chronic kidney disease and I have 2 kids when I was pregnant with my children my kidney function and blood pressure improved in the first trimester and then went back to my usual high blood pressure and low kidney function, so strange that my health is better for the first few months of pregnancy than when I’m not pregnant
