​@JamesSheenOnline Back in the eighties when the Golden Girls was about to debut, I heard the description of the show, and right off, I assumed that it was an American version of You're Only Young Twice. Even after watching The Golden Girls, I felt that it must have been inspired by YOYT.

Cissy = Rose (definitely) Flora = Dorothy (quite a lot) Dolly = Blanche (sort of, she’s the flirt) Mildred = Sophia ? Vaguely. There is a cross over to some extent!
