Totally niche discovery: Doodle Beast Tyranno helps Dinos dodge Effect Veiler and Imperm. If you're dumb like me and still playing Dinos this format, play at least 1. Must make sure those Ovi and Animadorned searches succeed.

Not searchable by Fossil Dig, so u have to hard open it. It's a okay card, just not good enough to warrant a main Deck spot, imo.

@theblite32 Fossil Dig is better to fetch combo cards anyway. Think of Doodle Tyranno like Called By The Grave. It counters your opponent's counters. Or like Dinowrestler Pankratops, providing quick-effect popping.

@@theblite32 A lot of dino cards can't be searched by Fossil Dig but they are still worth playing. Regardless, you would just search for Misc if you had Fossil Dig anyways, so your point is redundant. Unfortunately Misc is at 1 so for now Tyranno serves as a less powerful replacement to help protect against certain hand traps like Imperm, Mourner, & Veiler.

Kuriphoton is a light fiend monster that stops all battle damage (tenpai and zealantis) and effect damage (gimmick puppet) for an entire turn. Do whatever with that information.

Cycle Reader can hit the Fiendsmith cards. When they have Engraver and the Link 1 you can banish them and disrupt their combos, can also hit the fabled they play when it hits gy. Only problem is that the Lv 6 Fusion can bring back from banishment

I'll be main decking ally of justice, ash, droll and lock, and super poly 🤷🏻 Siding out AoJ for belle, ogre, or crow depending on matchup. I think its just safer to assume your opponent will be running Fiendsmith than not for your opening game.

@@ScallopGaming True, *but* AoJ hits two. Fwiw, 100% Crow is safer and more universal as you say and ultimately what I'd play (or Bystials), but you and I both know Fiendsmith is about to be hella ubiquitous, so it's worth considering.

@@CodyRockLee13 but you don't need to hit multiple cards in GY simultaneously to stop Fiendsmith, you just need to banish Fiendsmith Engraver when your opponent tries to Summon it from GY or add it back from GY. D.D. Crow is significantly better because it also hits stuff like Promethean Princess if you draw it for turn. D.D. Crow can also banish Spells and Traps from GY which gives the card more playability, can hit stuff like Transaction Rollback/Black Goat/Angel of Blue Tears etc.

Ghost Belle stays main decked because it negates Bystials, D.D. Crow and Called By. If I hold my Ghost Belle for the right times, it can do damage. It’s like a well timed Ash Blossom. A lot of cards shuffle from grave to deck (for an extra draw) special summon from grave (heavy link decks) or add from grave to hand. It’s too good of a card not to side deck at worst. I always run two. One in my main deck and one in the side deck. I always side both going second because if my opponent draws the Called By, I can negate it and my Shifter or Droll goes through. (Or Maxx C on MD)

Fun fact: Red Dragon Archfiend can be a shifter deck. A combo between crimson resonator and soul resonator leads to a live Dis Pater and Abyss. While I'm not certain about the viability of this variant, it surely does sound like an idea that can work.

When it comes to lancea I like to run it to help with evenly matched. For most of my decks I either can't make an omni or don't get a chance to for the end board

I'm curious where you slot the QP Spell card "Blink Out" on this list as a defensive play. Been hearing others using to strengthen FTK strats, but as a more budget RDA player I'm thinking more for defense against Link monster heavy combo lines in these meta decks

They can, unless they played prosperity. Half damage while you're gaining max LP makes it so they can't kill you. Also, if your playing yubel and stick a yubel, they can't kill you through dogwood either. Better stuff to run against them though

About contact c.... Tenpai, branded, melodious sometimes, any fiend Smith deck as soon as the get to the link 1 or even better the link 2 baby goddess. Ect. It's not the best but if used properly it hits most meta decks imo

I feel like if you're going for hand traps this format the floodgate hand traps like Droll & Shifter are what you need. The one-for-one trade hand traps feel weak. The top decks have so much gas bruh

I don't get why Lancea is not as good as Droll and Shifter when it is also a flood gate handtrap. Your opponent can not banish cards, so they can not use prosperity, evenly, and other archetypes like Bystials, Ritual Beast etc etc. Such as strong going 1st card post siding.

U not putting Retaliating "C" on this list is copium. Its good against SE Fiendsmith, if they activate either Sinful SS Spell, or Tractus. Not every matchup is good for it rn, but for a Tier 0 deck its pretty darn good.
