This is not the way to do it. Don't sacrifice health for saving money. Free Pringles is free junk food. 15th free Starbucks is not saving money. Buy a bag of Starbucks ground coffee and make it at home. Don't waste your time hunting coupons. At this point you are saving money at the sacrifice of time you could be having fun. Instead just stop paying attention to all the advertisements. Don't shop by browsing. Just buy what is on your shopping list. Purchase things for utility not luxury. Buy lesser things of better quality so they last instead of cheap things over and over again. And most of all pay yourself first when you paycheck comes! "Hashtag lowel."

It's not common the use of coupons here in Brazil and I don't even understand how it works, but I guess there are people who have fun using them... at least it's what I can notice from American TV shows...

It is sad that we live in a world where you have to "sign up" every time you buy something. katherine Albrecht was right.

Takeout and lunch at work are about saving time and time is money

The next question is what are you doing with your lunch time that is so important that you are willing to spend the money over the time? The inverse is that if you save money, then you have the option to work less (perhaps in the form of less overtime or early retirement).

You save time and money by cooking your own food and taking it to work. My weeks worth of food 3 meals a day for 7 days is 100 a week. And I don't spend time waiting in line for the lunch truck.

I spend money primarily on food, but I don't intend to save a lot there because I buy organic and that is automatically 4 x more expensive. And Denmark don't do coupons.

There is no such thing as a free lunch (or pack of Pringles). Somewhere along the line someone has to pay for it, often with having to work under very bad working conditions. So rather than going for free packs of stuff that isn't good for you anyway, buy what you really need and cut the crap out.

witchbarb Its still free lunch to the individual who isn't paying for it. This is how it works.

It's free to the person who didn't pay‼ Keep the talk honest. Not everything that is free, is bad. You give away fruits, you give gym memberships, you give grants for a college education. All of those things are good.

Don Dressel I bought several thousand shares of Starbucks years ago at $4/share in my Roth. With $700/month reinvested dividends I have no problem spending $100/mo. at Starbucks. I do the same thing with everything else I consume like electricity, natural gas, gasoline, water, property taxes,food,clothing,etc..
