But there was a song on an Emmylou Harris Album that I played as an album cut on rock stations and country stations and even got in trouble a few times because the song was not on our play list, but mostly I was the music director and or the program director after I had been in the business for awhile and could get away with it for the reason of holding those positions. The song is Your Suppose to Be feeling Good. When I brought that song to Rodney’s attention during the interview he said, “I wrote that song?” I said yes you did, and it is one of my favorites and I had it cued up and ready to go.

Didn't know R.C. wrote this but now that I listen to it closer yeah but the man's written so many great songs it's hard to keep track.

Rodney Crowell has recorded his own very different version on his album, The Chicago Sessions. He changed some of the lyrics too.
