I remember watching an interview with Matt Tuck and he said that 95% of his playing is all down picking. Growing up he idolized James Hetfield’s playing from Metallica in their early days and emulated his style. He noticed James would constantly use down picking and he thought that was the standard with faster music. Down picking then became like muscle memory for him and rarely did he alternate pick from there out. He said when writing music, Paget would hate learning what he wrote because it was all down picked lol.

This was a song I learned, and it forced me to learn that mean downstroke technique. I first practiced tapping it with my hand on my lap. If you can do that then you can translate it to the guitar 🤘

Tap the rhythm on your lap first, while pinching the thumb and finger as tho you were holding a pick. That's how I learned it. Once you can do it on your lap confidently then you just do the same thing on your guitar 🤘 it's honestly not so hard once you can play it on your lap 😃

Hey @Jacob have you changed the pickups or are these the stock ones? I was considering either buying one of the Juggernauts HT6 or PRS Mark Holocomb or Schecter Reaper 6 and everywhere i tried to compare the guitars sound it felt like the default Juggernaut Pickups sounds a bit cheaper then at least SD in PRS.
