For those of you who haven't seen the first version on my Twitter, this guide is 3 times longer than the original! Now that I'm no longer limited in terms of video length I figured I could include everything that's important to know. I also got a microphone last week, so the next guide will likely have voice over! Should I still keep the subtitles?

Let's go voice over! I don't think we need subtitles. P.S loved the link matchup guide with jama

This is some nice stuff, I'm improving on the reverse up tilt
@JforJonas3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Getting that down is a good start and I still use it when I just want a simple juggle, especially online where DI reaction is tougher

@@JforJonas No problem bro, and yea man I relate, I haven't really focused or used reverse up tilt intentionally, so being consistent with it will take a small chunk of the time, maybe 3 day spaced training mode sessions along with reverse up tilt practice, I did side tilt alot so angling the stick to be precisely Reverse up tilt is still in development 😅, looking forward to your new videos

Im in the lylat clip at the end! But really good video J, Link has some crazy tools and setups that aren’t used enough, so good stuff showcasing it in such detailed and well made format!

Trøndelan was a lot of fun. Would probably add more tournament footage if locals started back up again too. Thanks for the support, by the way!

this is a great video J, thank you! I'd love to see more about IDJ nair traps like sillintor uses as well

This guide is awesome! Erg detailed and good explaining. I had to pause and rewatch several times to log into memory and am ready to try it all. Thanks for your hard work!

2:10 I know this is a little old but IDJ nair after Up tilt seems to be the best option imo. If they DI to far for NAir or FAir you can wave bounce boomerang
@JforJonas3 жыл бұрын
I assume you probably meant a different timestamp, but yeah it can sometimes work after Uptilt indeed. Problem is that the Uptilt is gonna be negative on hit at low % with barely enough time to shield/parry aerials (1:10). For it to combo you'd need some %, aim for the late hit of Uptilt on reaction to DI and beware of quick escape options. Having the awareness to go for it when the conditions are right is amazing though, so it definitely still has some use!

Hey J i have a question at 5:32 : if they attack while in the falling animation, does it work ? Can they hit link while falling?
@kevlemulet2726 Жыл бұрын
Great video btw of course !
@JforJonas Жыл бұрын
Many characters like Chrom in that example won't be able to attack before touching the platform or ground. If you mean getup attack from knockdown, they will not be able to use it before about half a second from slamming down when missing their techs.

Hey, what is FH or SH and IDJ?
@JforJonas2 жыл бұрын
FH means fullhop as in holding the jump button to go higher, while SH means shorthop doing the opposite. IDJ stands for instant doublejump where you tap your jump button twice really fast into an aerial, and I recommend looking up guides for it on KZbin to learn more about it :)
@yowza96383 жыл бұрын
What is IDJ? I'm guessing "immediate double jump?"
@JforJonas3 жыл бұрын
It's instant double jump, a technique where you buffer a double jump during your jump squat to also be able to buffer a rising aerial higher than a short hop. If you want to look more into it there are a bunch of great guides on KZbin
@yowza96383 жыл бұрын
@@JforJonas Thanks! I'm pretty sure I've done IDJ's before on accident, but I usually just say, "Darn, I burned my double jump" and then get knocked off stage and edgeguarded. Good to know that it has some competitive applications!
