I know this video is seven years old now but....Thank you to the maker. Excellently edited and moving. Timothy Omundson as Cain (like in everything the actor does, dramatic or comedic) was subtle and believable. He (and the writers) managed to make Cain a truly tragic figure. The editing here emphasizes that, too. Great job.

After 10x14 aired, I had many fans, even some fans that had watched the show with me since the pilot episode aired in 2005 and were my close friends, asking me why Dean sported that look as he left the bunker's kitchen. Listen to the First Son's words, beginning at 1:59 and ending at 2:06. Watch the silent exchange between Dean, Crowley, and Castiel from 3:42 to 3:49. Hear the frantic, desperate anger in Cain's voice from 3:47 until 3:54. And finally, go back and examine everything from 2:48 onward until this video ends. The final words of Cain before the screen goes dark are the reason why Dean's countenance held the look it did. This man has been through too much, given too much, and done too much. And the Mark has broken him completely.
