The steamdeck uses power pass-through which helps extend general battery life, hooking it up to the projector however as your main way of gaming will not use this benefit and will expend your battery's health much faster so I wouldnt recommend it too much. As a method to game every now and then (like on a trip or visiting family) sure but youre better off docking the deck in the long term.
