Currently I’m on a 2 year cycle of upgrading my iPhone and watch. I’ve been using a GPS for the most of my usage of Apple Watch. The only time that I used cellular watch was a Series 3 and it was because of an excellent deal on the option. Usually I’m within the range of the cell phone and I can still call via watch, if need be. I regularly use the fast charging option for Series 7 watch and I can get almost 24 hours per charge.

I am 100% on board with what you said about the Apple Watch reminders using Siri. I have a horrible short term memory as well as I get easily distracted by my surroundings, so I heavily rely on Siri on my Apple Watch to set reminders for me to do tasks. I have never been more productive in my life ever since I discovered this feature. Thank you for bringing this useful feature to light!

I did the same along with location and notifications for most apps and it was a huge difference, I’ll get a good 36hr run it seems on average and there’s usually 20% left or so when I’ll put it on the charger. I am actually brand new to Apple and bought my first iPhone mostly because I wanted a cellular watch after hearing how useful the watch was from some friends and family. Now I don’t miss certain texts and/or calls from the wife like before and saves a lot of BS, worth every penny just for that reason alone, the watch that saved my marriage lol!

Was honestly surprised when I was with my mum and she walked up to the apple store to get a series 7. The last interaction with her about smartwatches was that she didn't really need one and that traditional watches were of better value. It turns out that she actually likes the watch!!

I bought my Series 5, when the 6/SE came out. I got my 5 40mm Nike for 289, so $10 more than the SE. I did buy the SE first then found the deal on the 5 and decided to keep the 5 for always on display.

I just purchased the Apple Watch 7 with cellular from an AW 6SE. I wanted a smaller size and the cellular connectivity. I actually went down in size from 44 mm to the 41 mm. So far I haven't really noticed a difference in my ability to view the apps on screen which I believe is because the relative screen real estate is similar between those 2 watches. Another quirky thing is now my long sleeve dress shirts can actually button at the cuff over the AW7. I found that I had a lot of issues with the previous version with being able to button the sleeve. It was too tight because of the size of the watch. This is a minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

I bought the regular SE (Cellular not available in my country), the SE performs 99% of the 7's functions for less. My key driver was to use my many Shortcuts, otherwise the Xoami 6 was sufficient as had the xoami 4 and 5 prior). The SE is great and is underrated by the reviewers? Run a poll - see who actually uses the 7's super features on a daily basis over 3 months (not 1 week).

I must admit that I've liked using Apple Watch 7 more than I initially thought, and for different reasons than I thought. I was sure it will become my main communicating device but I have replied maybe to two messages and had one brief call with it. It is the small things like timers and stuff that I use the most and I ignore the rest. The health tarcking is a bonus but I don't check the status of my health in the health up reguralry. What it comes to sports I use my older gps watch to do the stuff properly. I track my activities in Strava and I actually think this might be Strava issue but the elevation gain data in this watch is useless. Also when I'm mountain biking for several hours I need a decent battery life and a watch body that can survive hard hits :)

Technically, if you’re wearing your watch through the day then it would technically mean it’s your number 1 used device due to it constantly taking measurements in the back ground like steps, heart rate, etc. 😅

Got the s6 44 and don’t feel the need to get the s7 though I do envy the keyboard. 7 day battery life would be awesome. Faster charging speed doesn’t really appeal to me as I usually charge while I take a shower and get ready anyway and is enough to last until the next day

Battery life is the biggest issue. Compared to my HUAWEI GT 2 battery life really falls short. Apple should just slap 1 performance and 3 efficiency cores into their watches. The A12/A13 wasn’t sooooooo power efficient. A lot of performance is always good to have, but the watches have become „too fast“ for new use cases. :-(

My wife bought me a Fitbit a few years ago for my birthday and after it was just over a year old it died on me. I liked it because I could be busy at work and if my phone rang or a text came in I could just take a look at it and see if I need to run to get my phone or get back to it when I could without dropping what I was doing. But with it's untimely death in my opinion and $350.00 to replace it I didn't bother. However when I learnt that the series 7 also had a fall alert feature that got my interest in an Apple Watch. I commonly work alone and could be laying on the ground for quite a few hours if something happened and at that point it would probably be to late. There is cellular coverage virtually everywhere I work now so I think I am going to buy one very soon.

Looking at your watch it looks like it has a lot of dings in it. Is the the Lighting? Or are there bangs in it. I have the new iPhone and it just shows all the dings on it. To me its because they use different colours. I think that they should have one in just stainless then I would buy. $700 bucks to have dings in it seems like a bit much.

I have bounced back and forth between Fitbit sense & Apple Watch and I think I’m going back to the  device. I don’t really look at the sleep tracking anymore or the VERY useful Fitbit app as much as I thought I was going to. So in my (current) opinion- having the ability to set reminders and text and call and use Siri is more useful than 6 day battery life and better fitness tracking. Thoughts?

In the same boat currently. Been using FitBit for the last (almost) 6 years. My Versa is nearing the end of its days and the battery life isn’t quite what it used to be, so I’m currently shopping around. I like the exercise and sleep tracking abilities of FitBit (and I also feel a personal attachment to FitBit as whole lmao), but I like the quick text replies and reminder features of the Apple Watch. It charges fast enough that I put it on the charger a little before bed and in the morning while showering and it’s more than enough battery to sleep with it on and use as an alarm. Pros outweigh the cons. Only thing I miss is the Fitbit app but all the other abilities are more than enough to forget the app.

I had a fitbit hr I think... after a year it stopped holding a charge. the connectivity range sucked because it was by Bluetooth. I mainly got it because my work place we werent even allowed to have our phones in our pockets, so i wanted to be able to track my steps, sleep, and see text messages as they came in. once it basically died i never went back because i needed something with better connection and that maybe i could responds to messages, but the management changed and i can have my phone in my pocket so its not even needed for me anymore except for the health aspects since I'm more active than i was when i first started working at my job. This was my experience with using a fitbit. idk about the other models i looked into it but it cost about the same as the apple watches i was interested in and just decided not to get another fitbit
