I love my Series S. It's a fantastic console. Sure, it does have a few drawbacks (not 4K, only 512gb), but that's what makes it so affordable. I have a Series X in my living room and a Series S in my mancave. If I ever feel like playing in my mancave on the Series S, I don't feel like I'm sacrificing my gaming experience. It still packs a punch! Edit: Also, I wanted to say I couldn't believe what a small footprint it has. It's crazy Microsoft made a console that size. It's crazy!

Just got my Xbox series s 3 days ago and so far very impressed. I own a ps4 and was looking for another console to play fortnite with my son and I must say we love it. The only issue is the storage,but I found an external hd and plugged it in, was playing fortnite and the loading times compared to ps4 is so much faster.

Excellent review there mate. I've been looking at the Series S as my second console, to play MS/Xbox exclusive games, think Starfield, Forza, and MSFS 2024 for example. My PS5 will be my main runner, so instead of spending $749 AUD for another full size console, just spend $399 AUD and get this little fella for those exclusives and Gamepass.

The Series S is definitely a good starter console and for the minimalist. Unfortunately, it wasn't the console for me with the drawbacks compared to big brother, Also, I'm fearful that these recent price cuts represent something bad because of all the issues developers have been running into.

I sold my series s when I got my series x. The series s was a great little console for its size. But I do notice a difference in graphics on my 4k TV with my series x. And the 364 gigs storage wasn't enough for me on series s. And I like being able to buy used disc games for my series x. But the series s was a great little console. But for some reason they been selling series s for pretty cheap regularly new. I think right now through Verizon for 150$. It makes me wonder if their coming out with better new version of the s or is not powerful enough and trying to get rid of inventory

I’ve never owned a Xbox in my life so have no discs therefore backwards compatibly is no biggie for me. What I really like is the fact it’s cheaper than the Xbox series x and can play current gen games. Also gamepass is great value and I can play titles like gears and halo that I’ve never tried. Great second console option if you already own a ps5

If you’re a casual gamer than the S is definitely the best choice for you…. It’s got everything you need to start in the Xbox ecosystem…. I just recently upgraded to the X from the S and while the X better in every way imo… the S holds a special place in my heart man… that console is impressive

I think people should just buy the series X instead of the series S. You get alot more memory which is huge and its future proof. One purchase and your set for 5-7 years at least. I dont even have a newer tv and all my games are digital but i still went with the series X just for the extra memory and i dont want to buy another console down the line for this current gen. I also didnt want to wait for the 1tb series S. You'll also have the piece of mind that you have the most powerful console that will play games 3,4,5 years from now with ease and the best version of the game on xbox. Plus if you do upgrade your tv then even better that you got a series X. Just save up the extra money and get the series X and be done with it is my personal opinion.

@@Sdavies83894 I understand that. I would just save up enough to get the series X. If you can get a series S then your not far off from getting a series X,you just have to be more patient but it's worth it. When I got my X it took all of my budget but I'm glad I got it over the S.

Can now New-gen fifa 23 run on an "xbox Series-S" with "120fps" at atleast 1080p with variable refresh rate now or is the game is capped at 60 fps. Really in need of this info for a purchase decision.

I would agree the series s is perfect as a secondary console if you have a ps5 like me but if you wanted only one console I would have to go with the x over the s if you want a Xbox that is because game pass is cool but game pass dose not have every game on there and buy games from the Xbox store is just too expensive and that is where the x comes in handy because you can buy cheap games from anywhere you can’t with the series s

Nowadays you put a physical disc in a console and it downloads 50 gigabytes of data. You probably can’t even play some games without this install. The days of collecting physical games are basically over. I say this as someone with a lot of retro carts…

I'm not sure honestly but I feel like it will. It's a Xbox title and I'm sure xbox one games can be played on the new generation but there are games that won't allow you to play on older gen.
