20 years ago you HAD to create a level editor to make a game. In fact, that was like 80% probably of your entire game.

I agree with you. I never made a specialized app just for this, but I always used a ton of scripts (tools or not) to make level editing easier and designer friendly (even though I'm the designer and programmer of my games, lmao). It takes some time to set up but it is so convenient it allows me to be much more open and creative during level design, making iterating much more efficient.

This is a fantastic video and I agree. I found making a level editor for my game, I could make levels quicker and play them as making rather than start stopping the editor. I have a Godot level editor tutorial series if anyone is interested but it's not as good as the one featured in this video!
