I mean being smart isn't intrinsic to being a good debater. Yes Destiny is a good debater but the foundational logic he can sometimes come at a particular topic can be very stupid. Hence why even if your belief is stupid you can fill the gap and manipulate it to make it sound more legitimate. I mean just look at the vaush vs. destiny debate on the whole kenosha thing. I think destiny had a better foundation to argue with while vaush being the destiny Lite tried to manipulate it to sound smart and be some moral arbitrator. Which people at the time took vaush's stance more than destiny. Personally I think alot of people considered that stupid, but do others consider vaush smart or just very sly?

@@techlevel80 No. However destiny himself has moments of stupidity in his positions. Everyone does. Which is what Sargon is mentioning here. He thinks Destiny is good at crafting his message and poking at others on the fly but also has moments in his view that is ideological stupidity. I brought up Vaush since he is a close proxy to destiny when it comes to a similar vein of online engagement and is a prime example of how Vaush has adopted the destiny mold and even tried to do that with Destiny on a subject like Kenosha. Which I'm sure you can say Destiny and many others didn't find compelling but many others did and consider vaush a genius. Which again is it a question of is X person smart or just very sly?

@Thedamped3 жыл бұрын
@@arisrayden I believe the primaries are run under the parties and aren't governed under national law. I don't think they are related to the EC in any way. I could be wrong. In my mind the biggest problem with the EC is winner-take-all, the votes should be proportional to how the states vote. This currently causes almost the entire nat'l campaign to be focused on the few swing states. You can find maps online that are weighted based on campaign advertising and you can see that it's almost all just a few states. Also, electors shouldn't really even exist; at least they shouldn't have any agency. Only a few states force them to actually vote in line with the state, they should all be that way. There should also be fractional votes. The way it is now, you have to cross a population threshold before getting a new elector, and this causes a really prominent saw tooth pattern of how much your vote counts in the really low population states. Some people think we should give a bias towards states and not just be 100% population based, I disagree. But all those problems listed above have nothing to do with state bias and are just stupid flaws.

The guy talking about the Electoral College? He was confusing the counting of votes via the process specified in the Electoral Count Act with the apportionment of electors in the Electoral College, and Dunning-Krugering real hard while explaining it. He seems to think that senators are somehow necessary to the approval of electoral votes; in fact, it's the opposite, as both a representative and a senator have to *object* to a certificate of electors to open debate on it, and this is completely irrelevant to Destiny's idea of having a bigger House so less populous states have a less disproportionate number of electors compared to their population.

UH idk it might be because I'm new but I definitely got the impression that chat hates Vaush lmao For every 50 people spamming "Vaush bad" there's like three others, one of them a mod sometimes, saying something like "oh my god guys, stop picking on Vaush" or something

47:28 "you're more into the founding father's ideology." really? half of the founding fathers were Federalists who believed that the president should be chosen. so much for a government of representatives elected by the people
