Linda had a wonderful voice but her interpretations of Bessie were clueless. I spent many hours trying to get her to understand, but she never got it. BTW that show was not written by Linda. It was Geoffrey Holder's idea, but he wanted Odetta to do it, which would have been far better. I saw the show on Broadway... well, half of it. I walked out during intermission.
