Grey, snow, rust, decay. It’s all gone…all of it….so many warned us about this day but it still came. The nuclear holocaust, I was lucky to have a bomb shelter behind my house with supplies and it works great. Gas mask, clean air, water, food, tv and books everything. It’s been 2 months so far and I’ve left the bunker about 12 times. Mostly to scavenge but also to just look around and see if I can find…..to be honest I don’t even know what I’m looking for. I’ve been thinking to, I’ve got all this supplies and enough of it to last me 30+ years and even if it started running low I have the supplies to grow my own food and get clean water but I ask myself the same question…….why? That question chews at my mind all day, why am I doing all this, why am I trying, who should I keep going. The world is gone…..humanity is gone…..and me….im completely alone. I don’t even know why I’m typing this….who is gonna read it me….the ghost of billions whose lives were snuffed in seconds…..it’s all gone, there’s no hope, there’s no going forward. To whoever or what ever finds this recording, if it even survives long enough to be found. My name is Lewis…..humanity spent thousands of long bloody years finding new reasons to be divided and developing new ways to hurt one another. Our lack of unity and hatred of one another and our hubris let us to our own fate. I can only pray that something….someone out there won’t make those mistakes….then again maybe it’s just nature….empires fall eventually no matter how long….and humanity’s empire over the world…..is over….. flawed logic as wars end wars, its our means to an end often times, winning a war for one side is often peace for them, this is why wars are a continuum that we keep waging, we wage them becuse we strive ve for peace and think we're in the right that we're the ultimate brings of peace and justice, therefore issue of wars isn't that we aren't diplomatical or peaceful, no peaceful people can resort to violence too, the problem with wars isn't our intellect or willingless to talk, we've got plenty of that, the main reason wars will never end is our very nature, our pride, our huge egoes as a species, nature designed us to turn violent as well and one can't fight nature. if we ever manage to dfeat our pride and our nature then we'll be able to end wars, but is the cost of our very nature worth it?

@@MatanZlatan The meaning of the quote is simpler than this. If we do not stop wars, at one point we will self destruct as a dominant species. For example a nuclear war, or worse. We have the ability of removing ouselves from the planet and at one point we will probably succeed. Then there will be nobody left "to war".
