After deciphering the cryptic messages in each trailer using the key given, you get the following messages. UPDATE #2: The latest teaser "Dirty: Part Two" revealed a cipher that translates to "Behold Hanbi." After conducting some limited research, it appears that Hanbi is a demonic deity from ancient Mesopotamian mythology. Based on this information, it seems likely that the antagonist in the upcoming film does not follow any particular religious belief, but instead embraces the concept of evil across various religions, from Catholicism to mythology. UPDATE Sweet: Part Two, "Hell Awaits" Teaser #3: "Stood Upon the Sand of the Sea". A reference to Revelations 13:1. Which reads, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." Teaser #2: "Hail Satan" is very on-the-nose, but gives insight into the occult themes in this movie. Teaser #1: "ESGLO" This one was tricky, but I believe it's scrambled. The true translation, in my opinion, is "SEGOL". A Segol is a Hebrew diacritical mark in the form of three dots, forming an upside-down triangle. Diacritical marks are throughout the cipher, and an upside-down triangle is prominent in the film's imagery. I'm working on the cipher on the wall in this trailer now. I will give an update once I'm finished. Looking forward to this upcoming Nic Cage film! The marketing has been brilliant.

The title is a line from the song 'Bang a Gong' by T. Rex...but a Hydra is also a serpent type monster from Greek mythology. The Hydra also guarded the gates to the Underworld. There's definitely a large theme of the occult and Satanism in these trailers. This is how you properly do a trailer, whet the viewer's appetite instead of giving away all the story beats. I'm very intrigued by this film, one of the few times I've genuinely felt unnerved by the trailer.

I am not a horror guy, but I’m super excited for this. The thing I love about the marketing for this movie is that nothing in these trailers evokes any sort of joy, and not to mention, you have no idea where any of these puzzle pieces fit. In a traditional trailer, you’d get an opening scene, there’s a family having fun, some backstory maybe. A slowed down, edgy version of a campy song toward the middle. *Blumhouse.* A shot of the killer. Some jokes tossed here and there. The ending is spoiled. Whatever Neon and Oz Perkins is doing, it is NOT that. Not only am I confused, the atmosphere and these still shots make for extremely harrowing imagery. I can tell this movie will do away with the one and done jumpscare and give us these long shots that are so haunting that they seem neverending. Fuck it. I haven’t seen a theatrical release of a horror film in ages, this might be the next one.
