A contract with the Warriors right now is really just a "where would you like your ring delivered?" order form in a neat disguise. Remember the Bulls back in 1996? Malone would have retired with at least 2-3 championship rings, because NOBODY would have been able to beat that team for at least the next 3 years. The only thing that restricts the way people look at Karl Malone's career is the fact that he never won a title - and a big reason why he never did is because he had to face those elite Bulls teams. If he joined the Bulls he would have retired with 2-3 rings and he would probably be recognised right now as the best PF to ever play the game. Instead people put Tim Duncan above him based on absolutely nothing EXCEPT for the ring count - why? Because instead of jumping ship and joining the enemy, he remained loyal to his team for 18 years and continued to try to fight for a ring the hard way. Durant knows this. He knows he could have stayed in OKC, or gone to any other team, and he would have continued to put up elite numbers for years on end. And he'd have gone down in history as one of the greatest players of all time. But when push came to shove and people analysed his career compared to other greats, they would have put him lower on the list based entirely on the fact that he retired without any rings. So he signed with the Warriors, bought himself a 2-3 year run of championship rings to lock in his legacy early on, checked his little checkbox, and now he's free to go where ever he wants and lose while putting up great numbers and nobody will ever care...because he has his monster career scoring numbers and he has his 3 rings, so his legacy is secure. It's cheap and it's tacky - but it;s also smart. Guys like Ewing, Barkley and Malone would all be held on much higher tiers right now if they had done something similarly tacky and skimmed their way to 2 or 3 easy rings early in their career. 20 years from now nobody will care how they got those rings, they will just count the number as the measuring stick of success.

Max is a fool. And I wish Stephen A had a computer in front of him to debunk those fake facts Max was bringing up. Durant is one of the most efficient scorers not just in the league right now, but ever. Why is he bringing up Anthony Davis shooting 34% from 3 when KD has never shot that low of a percentage except for his rookie year. In fact, AD shot 34% from 3 on 2 attempts per game. KD shot 41% on 6 attempts per game. Not only is he shooting more 3s but he's making more. Even though AD shoots mostly from close to the basket, and KD is shooting more long range shots they're both shooting over 50% from the field, and KD's True Shooting percentage is actually HIGHER than AD's. AD averaged a couple more PPG last year but only because he didn't have to share touches with Curry and Klay Thompson. AD probably does have him beat defensively, but not by a large margin. Unpopular opinion, but since KD stepped his defense up he's become the most versatile weapon in all of basketball. Whether you need a 3, a midrange jumper, a smart pass, free throws, points in the paint, perimeter defense or post defense, there is literally nothing he can't do, and he's consistent all season up through the finals where he's earned 2 back to back FInals MVPs. His TS% is higher than everyone on Max's list and he averages a steal and 2 blocks. As great as people say he is he may still be underrated just because people don't like him now.

Meanwhile, KD averaged 30 on 52 percent shooting in 2012 Finals against a much younger Heat dynasty team. KD is essentially better than Kawhi at EVERYTHING except defense. Anthony Davis: KD is a much much better scorer. Max lied, KD is still more efficient when we look at TS and eFG. AD may be a better defender, but that is debtable. KD is a much more versatile defender, which can lead to him having a much bigger impact. AD will average more points, but KD could if he was the lone star with better efficiency. I can admit that Greek Freak is killing it rght now, but it's not like AD or kaWhi is ballin over KD. I'd still take kd anyday over either of them(also Kd has had a better record than AD even with curry out). I've seen him in the finals be clutch and hit many more game winners than any of the three.

Yuo BandZi He not a better perimeter defender than Durant and KD still can rim protect. KD can guard most 2’s and all 3’s and even some 4’s. AD can’t guard any 2’s or 3’s for an extend amount of time. He’s a better rim protector yes but he’s supposed to be he plays the 5 most of his career. He can’t score as many points on the amount of shots KD takes. KD only took 16 shots a game last season and was scoring about 27 a night on 52-41-89. He almost had his 2nd 50-40-90 season. AD taking 20+ shots a game and only scoring 3 more points.

Max compares KD's and Giannis' stats and averages ignoring what team each one plays for, completely misleading, just dumb. Of course he scored more points than KD, he is a one-man-show in Milwaukee. And what's with the criticizing of his efficiency? Of all the long range gunners this league has ever had, KD (and one certain teammate!) is perhaps the most efficient, constantly flirting with 50-40-90. Long range shooting is vital in today's game and Giannis', as great as he is, doesn't have it.

What would KD's ppg be if he played on the Bucks? All I wanna say is that "Giannis scores more than KD" is a ridiculous argument (0.5 points more per game, big deal!) when we compare him to KD. One of the most natural, fluid, unguardable scorers ever. At 23-24 years of age he was the go-to scorer in the 2012 Team USA team with that unbelievable roster. And questioning his efficiency? A volume shooter/scorer with 50-40-90 percentages? Only Steph, KD and Larry Bird have ever managed to score close to 30 with those percentages!
