It's 1950, and your friend just recently got a job as an engineer working for a company called Fontaine Futuristics in the new city of Rapture. He's been begging you to come visit him since he moved there five months ago. Always going on and on about how amazing it is and how much opportunity there is for work. As if hinting at you to move there as well.
After taking some time off work, you decide to take him up on the offer of visiting him in Rapture. He puts you up in the luxurious Hotel Monseñor. How he scored such a deal is beyond you, but based on the view from the window of your room, you're not complaining.
You've just arrived at your Rapture hotel room, and looking out into the underwater city, you're already considering taking the plunge and making the move of your lifetime.
In a city this beautiful, there's no way anything could go wrong.

Never played the Bioshock games, but after watching a video on the lore of Bioshock: Infinite, I was hooked. I thought about getting the game but decided I probably won't since there's no freeroam after you finish it. Both worlds still have amazing lore and designs, though. I really hope somebody makes a playlist so I can know what all of these songs are. EDIT: I got Bioshock 1 and Infinite :3 The store didn't have the 2nd one, sadly. Well I hope this was a good use of 22 dollars.

Dear lord you havent played Bioshock yet? I can tell you it is my favorite video game of all time! Im sure it will blow your mind from the creepy claustrophobic atmosphere, to the interesting characters and story and all the way to the addicting gameplay mechanics. Especially Bioshock #1. I think I played it through 5 times already. And for the bioshock games it is essential NOT to be freeroam or open world and you will undestand why once you play it (keyword is "claustrophobia"). The fact that you are being hunted by psychotic mutants in a torn-apart abandoned city through dark hallways and rooms on the entire game and not having the luxury to hide from them in an open world environment makes the game so much scarier!!!

@@nikosp3156 Thank you. I talked to my brother about it and he agrees the first 2 are much better than Bioshock:Infinite. With that being said, I'm not sure I'd enjoy the game so much if there's no freeroam after beating the game itself, which I hear is a feature in the 3rd game and possibly the other 2. I might consider buying the first one down the road.

Absolutely LOVE Bioshock. Played all of them years ago but the ambience is really beautiful. I wish they would make like 3 movies. Anyway, the first song sounds alot like Grace Halloway...& the small story you added to it just makes you wanna create your own story as well...matter of fact...(grabs notebook and pencil while leaving music on)

From what I heard there was one director who tried to take on the project and create a Bioshock movie but he said it was very difficult to create it so he backed out. Wonder why is so difficult especially with the advanced CGI tech we have already. The story is already here created by Ken Levine!

Rapture was kept secret from the rest of the world. Only those who Andrew Ryan deemed the best and brightest along with their families were invited so tourism was non-existent.

I don’t think there was tourism in Rapture , unfortunately . Pretty sure Ryan was super hellbent on no outsiders leaking information about the city to the surface.
