I'll use the Tactical Wenning strength program and it incorporates these warm-ups and I can vouch for them! We just had a peaking phase and I was a trashed 37. Doctors even suggested surgery for a herniated disc in my lower back. This week I benched 405, squatted 480, and deadlift 550 during the peaking/test week. Those are pretty conservative also. Due to pass injuries and a beat up body, I stopped at about 90% on every lift. I'm your average Joe and nowhere near built like none of these guys. So I'm happy with that strength at my age and lifestyle. Just doing it for a health standpoint. Had some pretty severe injuries in the past so I always get scared now with heavier weights but that's the best it has felt in a long time. I also kept it around the percentages are rpe they suggested during training. I didn't try to Ego lift so touching that heavy of a weight with lifting no heavier than I did during the program impressed me. I used to be the one who thought I had to touch heavy singles every week to lift heavy. Lol let me tell you you will pay for it eventually. Especially if you don't have the the money and resources some of these people have.

@Marniuhhh2 жыл бұрын
I do this in a commercial gym, not a problem at all. You change exercises each time you come in, so you adjust to what's available. And if you do dumbbell work you only need one bench. Takes 10-15 minutes to finish the warmup so no worries with hoarding equipment/dumbbells

I think Juji's crossover into bodybuilding is still under rated. Just watching the difference in form between matt and juji puts the different styles of training into perspective. Clear squeeze and contractions in juji's form where as matt is pure explosion. i've been trying to self learn the bodybuilding form, its not easy nor is powerlifting if you cant achieve proper form. but to be be able to cross over from different sports is quite impressive, a re wiring of the brain and body so to speak.

Someone left some AHHH! on the floor at my gym, so I brought it up to the front counter to put in the lost and found since there was no one really around who looked completely mad. I made the suggestion to the young man working to give it a sniff, he did, from about an inch away, and then he thought that he broke his brain, he really thought there was something wrong with himself. From a veteran ammonia ampule user and someone who has tried many different ammonias, AHHH! is on a different level, I can safely say that putting an ampule up your nose then cracking may not be as strong as AHHH!.

strongest most useful/dense muscle I ever built was by doing boxing circuits....involving the 'pig bike', a rower, bag punching, low weighted straight punches at speed, low weighted uppercuts, tonne ups (10 sets of 10 x reps of any floor exercise of your choice), and skipping done for 1.5mins with 30 seconds between and a 5 min rest between rounds and a group of lads with one at each station. I'd do aero before and weights after...then, go collect glasses and do the cellar at a local nightclub.

@@mattwenning2164 Matt, I love the content but if there's a pulley on top of the weight stack and not a direct connection then it's a 2:1 ratio, same concept as a snatch block on cranes and winches. Great for extended cable range and smooth operation. Functional trainers are built this way and sometimes even with 4:1 ratios. Not meant to diminish what youre doing just giving reference to home users who get hung up on the numbers. Keep putting out great content and thanks for sharing your experience.
