Nice to see someone who actually cares for their animals. Too many youtubers with racks or more pets than they have room for and the care is compromised. The level of ignorance and denial is so frustrating.

What an amazing collection and genuinely lovely guy. I know this is an old video and this comment might be eaten by KZbin, but were any of the stolen animals recovered? What a devastating thing to happen, I can't get over people being so greedy, selfish and downright cruel. I've been burgled before and that was awful, but I can't even begin to imagine how truly soul destroying it must be to have what are essentially members of your family stolen, as well as having your home invaded. To end this on a cheerier note, those bright green (Emerald?) skinks are adorable with their curious head tilting! So many gorgeous creatures, so well loved. I really enjoyed seeing this diverse collection, so thank you both for sharing!

Cool video. But tip for the future, when talking about specific animals, especially those rarer and less well known examples - please put the name on the screen so we can go off and discover about them some more. Sometimes its hard to understand what letters you're exactly pronouncing, which makes googling for the animal in question like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I know this is super old now, but it really sucks that people can be so heartless as to steal someone’s pet family members and these were animals that were used to educate people about reptiles and show them what amazing animals they are. Whoever stole those animals stole many opportunities for non-reptile keepers to learn about them and fall in love with them like we have. That said, my favorite reptile in my collection is a normal “wild type” ball python named Zeus. He was rehomed to me for $60, had a few issues like stuck shed and being underweight, didn’t have proper humidity for I don’t know how long, but he’s the absolute sweetest guy ever. He’s around 3 years old, roughly 2.5 feet long and around 300 grams now though when I got him in March 2022 he was only about 150 grams or so. It’s now October 2022 and he’s thriving, having mostly perfect sheds and eating everything offered to him with gusto. He loves coming out of his enclosure to explore and will rub his head against my thumb while resting against my hand. He’s just the best and was my first snake I’ve ever owned but not my first reptile (first reptile was an eastern fence lizard we named Beans after the female lizard in the movie Rango). I hope they caught whoever stole those animals and hopefully got some of them back. It’s a shame that people do things like that, especially when those animals were used for education and loved by so many.

Do it a favour and don’t put it in an empty tub like so many ignorant keepers. Snakes need enrichment. BPs in the wild are semi arboreal. So many scientific studies back this up but it is in the hardened breeders best interest to spread the myths that they live in small burrows and don’t budge. They’re all in it to get rich and have no problem spreading lies and saturating the market. Bigger tanks are always better. The problem is people leave the tanks bare making the snakes feel insecure and their feeding response suffers. Block their sight lines to the outside world, give them plenty of hides and that won’t be an issue. Snakes benefit from UV too and studies have led to the belief that can partially see in the UV spectrum too. Sorry, just had an argument with a keeper with a bp in a small tub with just a water dish. Of course they eat in that environment... they have nothing else to live for!
