Westvletteren is probably the best beer in the world (and not Carlsberg 😂) but it is almost impossible to buy this beer except if you visit the monastry where the beer is made in Belgium.

As a belgian Im so glad you guys did the right things and not behave like idiot american vloggers, you avoided the tourist traps and let me tell you as a belgian the suggestion of that guide were absolutely solid, notably Orval and Westmallen (I always go for the tripple ofc, such a deep flavour), you went to taste real chocolate from un artisan chololatier, the real deal. Btw next time you guys should try local specialities, I would recommend the mussels (traditional one with white wine), vol-au-vent, carbonnade flamande amongst other tings...

Are you really going to compare some light lager novelty beer (ooo we made ice crystals form) with a beer that just has complexity of flavors and as soon as you take a sip makes you feel as if your sitting next to a fireplace surrounded by loved ones? The only thing your statement did was show you haven't ever even had a mediocre Belgian beer let alone any of the good ones such as the abby and trappist beers. That or you don't drink for enjoyment of the beer but just to get hammered.
