The only way people can get 2 yellow cards in a row, is if a foul is committed but the referee lets the play carry on for the advantage of the team in possession, and then the player commits another foul.

The hand ball was in the middle of the pitch, by football rules, is called not to be relevant, hence no need to get a yellow card. Those are FIFA rules, whether you like or dislike it. Having said that the referee was so awful that both teams have reasons to complain. In my view the Dutch played a very dirty game and Paredes should have been sent off. All LvG meant was that he asked the Dutch players to practice penalties while they were at their clubs. Another claim is that LvG said that Argentina was afraid of the Dutch. He said that after it was revealed that Argentina were going to start the match against the Netherlands with 5 defenders while they played the entire tournament with 4 defenders. You don't switch from 4 to 5 unless you think your opponent is a threat. LvG was stating a fact! If Argentina got triggered over that, it says more about their psychic.
