The song is a campaign for anti-cultism in Nigerian schools. The term you want to Bam Ba, as opposed to "bamba" that social media has turned it to, is actually a term used by cultists to imply the processes involved in the initiation for one to join a secret cult\gang. Some others say you want to "blend". So when he says "you want to bam ba?" He means to ask "so you want to get initiated right?" The stuff he says in the beginning of the chorus is Benin language of Edo State South South Nigeria, which translates to "I thought I told you, that my son must never join a cult". He is speaking as a third person, a parent of a child who is in trouble because he joined a secret cult. So the parent is now reprimanding the son for joining a secret cult. He now goes forward to ask him rhetorically 'you want to bam ba? You want to chill with the big boys? Now you dey run kiti kiti, dey run katakata no fit drink water drop cup.". - This literally translates to " You wanted to get initiated right, so you could feel like you are part of the big boys right? Now you are always on the run, not having peace of mind because rival cult gangs are after your life (run kitikiti, run katakata, no fit drink water drop cup). That's why he how concluded by asking 'shey you see as the thing goes? Which implies 'have you now seen what comes with joining a secret cult? Oya tell me who blend you. - He is asking the child to give him the names of the people that innitiated him into the secret cult. The rest of the verses just further elaborates on this premise

Cultism, voodo and black magic is a reality to many Africans. This video IS about that. The song is about wanting to be rich and achieving it by any means necessary, usually through voodoo, robbery, killing “say my pikin na go join cult” translates to my child has joined dark magic association” and now the guy is regretting it because it backfired and he’s been hunted for his crimes…. PRE - Chorus lyrics “Say my pikin na go join cult” translates to my child has joined a cult “You want to bomb ba?” translates to you want to be successful right? “You want to chill with the big boys?” - you want to be in the same circle with other successful men? “Now you dey run kiti kiti you dey run kata kata” means now you’re running in all direction because you’re confused and scared “No fi drink water, chop cup” translates to you can’t even drink water --since he’s so busy running for his life-- the artist is also telling the man to grab a cup of water (chop cup) “ Shey you see how the thing goes”- now see what has happened He says “shebi (instead of shey) you see how the thing goes” for the second chorus - it means the same as previously stated.

The Nigerians were taken to Jamaican as slaves so most our traditions, language and food are Nigeria inspired. Jamaica now has a plane that goes to and from Nigeria . We’re are basically cousin. Look up your history.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's about young boys trying to join gang because they want to chill with the big boys, you want to bam bam means: you want to shoot and kill people, and when you kill someone that person friend or gang member will be looking for you to kill you, you will now start to hide, you can drink water and leave the cup on the table because you now have to be vigilant. It's a nice beating tune but alot of lives have been lost in Nigeria due to cult and gangs.
